Back combing

    I know this might be a really dumb question,but what exzactly is backcombing?I just orderd a dread kit aand I thought I should know.

    Backcombing is taking a strong metal comb and combing your hair from the ends up to the roots (combing backwards). knots the hairs. then you roll it. i have yet to figure out how to tell which way you need to roll your backcombed dreads you do at home though..

    It's an overprice kit filled with useless stuff such as "locking accelerator" (instead of using salt water) and wax.

    You can see what it is at dreadheadhq and knottyboy...:rolleyes:

    they are not useless

    the locking accelerator rocks i love it, it's chemicals and added with sea salt. locking accelerator got my hair nice and natty. And backcombing is combing your hair from the tip down to the root.

    so a dreading kit is an overpriced kit of crap used to make unnatural dreads.

    well theres one thing i'll never be buying. :)
