Urge the Kao Brands Company to Join PETA's Cruelty-Free Company Program

    Although the Kao Brands Company, maker of Jergens, John Frieda, and other products, contacted PETA with interest in joining our cruelty-free company list, it eventually informed us that it did not wish to proceed with signing our statement of assurance. Furthermore, the company failed to provide us with the feedback that we requested regarding why this decision was made. Companies must assure PETA in writing of their humane testing policies before they can be added to our list of cruelty-free companies. Please contact the Kao Brands Company and politely urge it to join the program so that the public can be informed of its animal-friendly policy. Let the company know that you and other caring consumers buy products only from companies that are included on PETA's cruelty-free-company lists:
