Okay, so woodstock child said that she wanted to change her world with music and bring back the woodstock vibe and feeling. That's awesome. I think its possible...

I recently have been attending the Phil Lesh concerts, and it really got me into the vibe...you know, the community. through this forum, i have been talking with people about change and revolution. I have been motivated and enlightened. Anyway, so i come home, and i love where i live, its my sanctuary. But i wish it had more music...more community.

So my friends and i are sitting around just discussing our plans for the gathering of the vibes festival in august... and i am thinking, hey, why dont we just have our own festival? We have enough land, we know enough people...we could really pull this thing off. It could be all about peace and love and music, and just an all around good time.
So, as we are pondering this thought, the conversation begins to take form. One thing leads to another, and then we have it: a festival to benefit something.... we could give proceeds to a charity! I did this same thing last year in the form of a sit down dinner benefit for hurrican katrina. i raised 20,000 $. So i'm thinking that this one would be way more up my alley and incorporate the things in life i love: friends, family, music, peace, and lending a helping hand.

We're doing it! We are putting together a Jamboree to Benefit The Sussex County No-kill Animal Sanctuary! other people could do this sort of thing too... you could benefit a group or charity of your choice. all it takes is a little know-how and a lot of heart, and you could pull it off!

You can have vending spots, and sell water and grilled cheese and burgers, etc. All the money you raise goes to the charity. We're going to have t-shirts and posters too. I think we're definately going to pull in at least 3 bands, if not 5. Its going to be sweet!
So, tell me what you think, or if you want to do your own and you have questions, hit me up!
    Peace and love
