welllll i moved from ohio to michigan for a year to go to school, and then i switched & moved out to california to go to humboldt state and study Wildlife biology. so basically school took over my life cause being a science major is fucking hard here but its worth it i guess. cause i really love animals.
its not that i got really sick of it here, it was more like i got sick of sitting behind a computer. i live like 5 minutes from the beach and in the redwood forest so it would be dumb for me to stay inside all day. i definitely missed coming here and talking to all the awesome people though... cause there really is no other place like hipforums

i love jesus. i do. it's a good thing to do. but a better thing is to try to understand who he was and believe that he existed or someone just like him could exist, even if you don't actually love him. although i see no reason not to.

but whatever floats your boat or finds your lost remote...

Ya know both my parents were hippys amongst other things and I just dont feel hippys cursing eachother out or disrespecting other peoples revered leaders. Whatever happened to tha peace & love positive energy vibes. I do believe that we should always ask the right questions but rude remarks are not cool. Lets talk about others the way we want them to talk about us if they have to talk. The thing about Yeshua a.k.a. jesus and the bible is that most of us dont understand the culture, the language, or the facts.

Greetings friend. Love is the emotion you feel when you are attracted to something or someone. Love is what you feel when you want that something or someone to always be around.

 

Love is wanting the same good for someone else that you have for yourself. It's not just about feelings. Jesus' whole message was about peace and love. It's just been hijacked by a bunch of friggin' warmongers that just want to make money off of other people's sufferings. Don't worry, though-they'll get what's coming to them.

 

love is everything, in it's purest form. the experience of love is recognition and awareness of that, even if you only have a tiny fraction of the bigger truth. love is a perfect process that is imbedded in every imaginable thing, an intrinsic beauty and uniqueness and worth. faith, the kind of faith jesus asked us to have, is knowing, even and especially when something bad happens, that everything IS love and perfection. to me, jesus is more of a metaphor than a person. jesus is like the person inside of us, under all the layers of misunderstandings and fear.

it's easy to say "jesus christ died on the cross for your sins"... but it's hard to really understands what that means, and i know it has been warped a lot by religion, no matter how hard religion tries to explain it clearly.

jesus loved everyone. that doesn't mean anything sexual, or that he liked certain personality traits and grew attatched to people. he just saw us for what we are; souls, spirits, passengers in our own individual ride through an infinitely perfect process towards ultimate realization of just HOW perfect it all is. so if someone was just starting off on their journey, does that make them less worthy of anything than anyone else? and since we can't step outside of our own unique experience of reality, who are we to judge whom is where in a timeline sense? what sense does it make to hate a person? when you strip away hate, all there is is love. jesus performed miracles because he saw in people what they couldn't see in themselves, and they would see it reflected back at them through him. he died on the cross because it was a perfect part of the ultimate process. if he wanted to, he had the ability to stop the crucifixion at any time. but he was god on earth, and god never interferes with freedom of choice. the truth is we are ALL equal to him, we all are gods on earth. we all have the power to Be Love in every second, to make anything happen. but we can't believe in ourselves that much, and jesus knew it. so he said if we can't believe in ourselves to be perfect, realize perfection through him. see what he can do, believe it is being done, and someday you will realize that you can do the same.



sorry to go on such a rant, but i think it's important to understand these things before you adopt a viewpoint or put someone down. especially when it's something so sacred to so many people.
