work, eh i got tricked by the first day apparently it's not so fun anymore yesterday i picked up, carried, cut, and shredded 100 pounds of cheese amongst many other things i did i'm so sore because i'm used to doing nothing, lol only a month and a half of this though, oh, and free lunch still
I made 100 boxes for packaging oysters, put baby oysters in mesh bags so they can grow, and then put the ones that used to be in the bags into cages on the boat and put them back in the water, graded 6,000 clams, sold 300 pounds of fresh spot, more clams than I could keep up with, and 40 bushels of soft shelled blue crabs, who knows how many oysters... then I rode to Richmond with a guy and made deliveries.
the first day is always the best day. i always come home "i LOOOOOVE this job" ... and a week later i have to convince myself to go...
Ahahaha, I know exactly what you mean. I used to work at a smaller (but very busy) local pizza place, and doing cheese was the worst. I was the same way the first day, too, 'cause I hadn't been doing any kind of muscle-oriented work before. The next morning, my arms were killing me and I had to work again that day. Eh, the cheese gets easier, though.
wow lucifer sam guy that i should know your name but for some reason don't at the moment, you're -exactly- right derek!? mebbeh? but anyhoo i had to do the cheese again today this time the 60lb box of cheeze was at the BOTTOM of the BACK of the freeze, that kinda sucked but shredding it and doing all that shit was pretty easy today probably because this girl shelly did my dishes for me as i shredded the cheese which was awesome i figured out how work balances out the first half of my shift sucks ass the rest still sucks, but for some reason not as much, so it's all cool today i had to clean above and behind the grills, wiping grease from places i didn't even know grease could ...culminate...? zac the (one of many) greek guys was like "somethign something something wipe with that one then that one something something i speak horrible english especially right under this loud ass fan something something" and i was like, "so..........wax on wax off?" and he laughed and shook his head also i got to "cut the pizza" which had nothing to do with cutting at all, instead flattending some dough with my hands, and then flattening it with a machine and putting them in pans and for some reason, as much as i am "god damn, i really don't like this job, they make me do a lot of shit, it kind of sucks ass" ..... i really don't care? i guess it's the whole "i really only have to work 5 hour shifts and get off at three each day" thing i think i've said enough now
I get weekends off. But I get to set my own hours/leave whenever they tell me to and come in whenever.
AHAHAAAH richie the same thing happened to me I had to sauce and cheese pizzas my first day and thought "hey this is okay" and stretch pizza dough etc... then the next shift occured and i wanted out just wait til the shitty customers start attacking you
thats always good its good for people love their freedom but work as well actually those kinda jobs are hard to find
