Cats Cats always look a bit suspicious being a little too careful about their footfalls, a little too graceful, a little too quiet, and flicking their tail at you like they know something. That's why I like to, when I can, sneak up behind one, and clap my hands real loud and yell. A startled cat isn't fooling anyone.
Ever experienced telepathy with cats?? They do know something we don't know . . They're great at making up games. love the poem :]
Yeah, they do have something to them. Makes me think of that comic strip, Dharma the Cat. It's still fun messing with them, though http://www.dharmathecat.com/cartoonp.htm
thanks for the chucklebone <grin I will have to try that (~_~) I think mine understands the english language, like a latino faking its understanding, "no habla" then they turn and say "Pass me a cat taco"
Clap your palms on the bongo drum And slip on your shades to the Cheese factor When I snap my fingers (If I could snap my fingers) N say "Adorable!" ADORABLE!!!
nice poem! To me, cats are one of the most conceited and stuck-up animals around. (Or maybe they're just really confident) Maybe that's why I like 'em so much
I like these lines the best. Ugh, I think that dog people like to harass cats. I love my kitty cats. I always think of that scene in Meet the Parents where Robert Diniero says to Ben Stiller, "So Greg, you don't like cats? You appreciate emotionally shallow animals like dogs?"
Next time your cat gets reprimanded, or gets scared/startled..Try watching for the 'comfort lick'. You watch, you'll see what I mean.
Lol. That is funny. It made me remember a cat I had. He was an unneutered male who had a harem in the barn across the street. Well one time he was strutting back across the yard from his harem rounds and he didn't see me. I said something to him and it startled him so much he just jumped into the air and ran a few feet. Apparently he realized then it was just me and turned around gave me a look and continued sauntering on his way as if nothing had happened. But I couldn't keep from laughing
It's all in their wiskers man. I used to have this cat that loved a certain ball and would chase it no matter where it went. At the time I was living in PA and we had bonfires every week. Well as fate would have it someone threw the cat's ball in the fire and sure enough he went after it. I did'nt think much of it other then being mad that one of my friends for ruining the ball. I did not think the cat would go into the fire. Long and short, he retrieved his ball, but burnt his whiskers in the trade. Until they grew back, he would run into walls and fall whenever he jumped, it was sad, but funny when all was said and done and ofcourse when he was back to normal.
