A lot of older women seem to have liberated themselves and no longer hesitate to go with young men. The cliché of the old horndog taking young bimbos that could be his granddaugthers, no longer holds. But what are they doing it for? As always, this little poll is about a big trend, not about individual cases. (So please no answers of the genre "it all depends on the woman and the man in question", etc...). What's behind this trend of older women picking up young men as if it's a sport?
Well, everyone has their personal reasons. But, I like this "trend." We always see older men with younger women and I think it's great that women can get their own young piece of ass. I also think women who are still full of life and energy may be drawn to a younger man. I am 23, as well as my BF, but he acts like he is 50. Perhaps a younger man would even do me good.
must be the vigorous dick. also i never act older than i am. and i think thats a good thing. its sad to hear that you above me have a guy thats 23 and acts 50. in all honesty, i dont care if girls are going after younger men. ill probably be the older man going after the younger women i mean shit, my girlfriend dresses like a fucking grandma already.
Sorry, I haven't noticed this trend, so I'm going to annoy you and say it really is about the individuals involved. I'm 42, and have dated as much as 13 years younger than me and 12 years older than me, and everything in between. My question to you is - Why are you concerned about it? Does it bother you to see a man younger than the woman in the relationship? And what about gays & lesbians? Their relationships must really blow your mind. Or are you just looking for an open discussion on the topic?
I have a good friend of mine that works as a VP in an HR company. She's pretty, bright, successful and single in her mid 40's. She told me that the older single guys that are out there that have tried to woo her are usually successful, but weird. They try to impress her with who they know, how wealthy they are, etc. Her comment was that she already owns a house. She already has a car. She's very self-sustaining, and as a result, she doesn't care about status or any of the other stuff the guys in her age bracket or older try to impress her with. If she's going to share herself and her life with a guy, then she's going to look for other things that someone's going to bring to her table... something else that she doesn't have in her life. I can't speak for any woman, but it wouldn't surprise me if this is reasoning is prevalent .
Yeah, I couldn't vote. I wouldn't presume to know the answer. I'm sure that if you conducted a survey, and everyone was being honest, the answers from different women would include all of the above, plus others not listed, including the answer that they just simply love the guy. Who can say why we love who we do? In most cases, I can't even figure out why I've loved the women I've loved. I read somewhere that men hit their sexual peak at around eighteen, but for women it's around forty. There's one argument in favor of a forty-year-old woman stepping out with an eighteen-year-old man. The hottest sex I ever had was with a drop-dead gorgeous forty-two year old woman, when I was twenty-eight. Our affair lasted a little over two months, then she got paranoid about how much younger I was and called it quits. She said she was in danger of getting herself hurt. At the time, I was terribly wounded and pissed off, but when I consider that she's sixty-one now (wherever she is) I have to admit she was probably right. Damn, she was amazing. I still wank to memories of her. There's a problem with sex like that. Now, almost twenty years later, I realize I'll probably never find anything that good again. Truth be told, even my estranged wife, who was nothing short of sexually amazing herself, still comes in at second place.
Since I ended my marriage, all my serious relationships have been with younger men. I usually seem to end things with the older ones before it gets very far, but I've had three long-term (more than a year) relationships with younger guys. The younger guys are more the artsy types who aren't focused on the corporate world and worried about their retirement. They still view life as an adventure to be experienced not as something to worry and fret about. As far as sex goes, definitely more into it now than in my teens and twenties. Same goes for all my female friends. Back then most of us did it cause we were into the guy. Now we're into sex.
Can't vote. I actually love the guy. Then, there's only seven years difference. I find the nasty tone of the poll to be irritating, & unnecessarily cruel. Uncalled for.
my brother married a woman 6 years his senior........ and I do remember my grandmother raising a stink about that........ she thinks that all men should marry a woman younger! shes very strict and set in her catholic ways.
My other half just convinced me to try to take this poll objectively. In any case, IMHO it's just like coming out of the closet. We're are becoming less afraid on all fronts of what other people think. are doing it because they can (THIS crap need not be included)-> if old dirtbags get away with picking up blonde bimbos, then we will show them... I'm not about to base my love life on something that shallow.
7 years is nothing. I've been with women older and younger and it's always been an individual thing. The older woman I was with acted younger and had more drive and vitality than the much younger woman I was with. The younger chick just seemed old. She worried about everything. I don't care about age as long as it clicks. That goes for men or women.
I have always been attracted to younger men. In my late 20's I was dating guys 20-22 years old. My last relationship lasted 10 years with a guy that was 12 years younger than me.
I don't remember who said this (I'm pretty sure it was a female comedian) but one of life's great injustices is that as men grow older, they come to look like Sean Connery, and as women grow older, they come to look like... Sean Connery. It was a joke. Please don't hurt me.
Actually, I think she's sort of attractive, or at least I did back when she was standing in for Carson. I really don't know what she looks like now.
