We never made it home, our engine blew up on Cameron Pass 100 miles west of Fort Collins and 100 plus miles east of Steamboat - we've been hauled into Walden where we're getting repaired just to turn around and go back home to northeastern Montana. Tomorrow is my birthday, we're fairly bummed about missing the gathering and the engine being blown here on my birthday, such is life. I'm only posting these woes because we would like some kind company in celebrating my 27th birthday tomorrow. Is anyone around or near Walden Colorado. Not exactly what we had in mind, but we're flowing with the currents of the universe - if you're kind and in the area - give me a call - 406-480-5778 We include - Ellen, Allen and Timber (our husky pup) We're here until we're fixed, then we'll have to head home. We were supposed to be back today, but that aint happening. It's going to be a few more days at least. Is there anyone out here?
Oh sister I know how you feel! We broke down like six times on our way to the gathering. Most of the breakdowns occured in Missouri. The locals were nice and helped fix our truck. The starter went first. Then we were having battery problems. Then the alternater went. I have no clue how we got there, but some how the Gods helped us out. It took us 4 days, opposed to 1.5 days. I got drunk with some Missouri locals in the bar we broke down in front of. We ended up picking up 4 hitch hikers. Two of them were on their way to the gathering too. The other two were traveling across the country and wanted to get to CO. One of the brothers was named Tree. Tree if you're reading this contact me! lonewolf, I wish you the best of luck on your journey. I'll see you home next year!
Cheers! some company stopped by at our Walden Colorado hideaway so at least we're catching all of the word of how it all went.
