Hey, welcome to the whanau. Don't hesitate to participate in our random threads - we even have some weird americans participating. tell us a little about yourself.
yeah, hi. welcome, harae mai and so on.. umm, so yeah, tell us about you? we can start - I'm Sophie, I'm 19 and at Otago uni, where i do a BA. your turn
frozen is the bouncy bubbley girl around here, always good for a laugh i am Doug 20 years old from that awsome dawsom city called wellingtron (witha tron, coz its so high tech here in wellingtron) i do a BDes, i am not cool enough to just have a two letter degree, tis gotta be a whole 5 letters, coz i presume a BD was already taken. i ama bit bummed that its even a university course, its so polytechish, most of my class mates are retards, except perhaps 3 people who have enough intelligents to have actually gotten an A bursary. oh and i am a snob who likes to think i am better than everyone and have a superiority complex HA HA HA HA Doug
ahaha lol doug. omg though, speaking of degreee lettery things, how much do I want to be doing a bachelor of Architecture? Then I could be a BArch.....ahahahahahahaahahahahahahahahah
omg Sophie you honestly HAVE to stop cracking me up!!! My name is Gloria, I am 18 and I am doing a BA at Victoria University in Wellington. Currently I am procrastinating, trying to distract myself from doing this retarded essay on the Italian Social war against the Romans. BLAH. Romans suck.
Americans by nature can only be normal, its the rest of you that are weird Anyways, not sure if you were looking for info on people just from NZ... but i'm one of those "weird" americans who lurk around here. anyways, i'm chris, 21 and doing a BA in classics...and i like long walks on the beach p.s. the romans do suck, atleast after Augustus
fuck yes, they are so boring all they do is kill each other and fight other countries. Blah, I always get them confused too, stupid Latin, such a sneaky language. Are you a degree in just Classics Megara? I cant wait til I finish this one Classics paper I am doing then I will not touch ancient Romans with a 50 foot barge pole EVER again.
i resent that, nah actually i know u werent talking about me tamsyn but i thought id put my input in. welcome also Erutuluco. my name is daniel (sherman is my nickname)im almost 21...in oct...oh g and u and mates are invited to that as well yay go 21st parties. i live in the great city of palmerston north, lmfao. im working full-time at the moment as a grill chef and am going to be goign to chef school here in palmy nth in febuary next year.
yeah i am..i was planning on doing history and classics, but since i decided to study abroad in new zealand, i wont be able to meet all the reqs for another major
its alright, u can be confused on this site and everyone will accept you for it, thats why i love this site so much
i can major in as many things as i have time for... However, at my school you have to take two courses in succession(for the history major) during your senior year. I am planning to spend my whole senior year abroad in new zealand and i wont be able to take either of the courses..and i didnt plan to study abroad until earlier this year, so i didnt think about making arrangments to take them during my junior year. It was bad planning on my part. I'm happy with just classics though..but it does get annoying telling people what classics are..and that latin isnt spanish...*sighs* some people
Oh shit i sooooo want a BArch now. man i would feel so cool having a BArch on my wall. i would be in the clubs and say somthing like "hey baby, sorry not tonight, i gotta go home to stroke my B-Arch, coz i left her hanging on the wall, and its time for her rub down with window cleaner" and people would be like WTF. oh the fun and excitement of that. pity is by the time anyone gets a BArch they are to old to appreciate the enjoyment. Doug
Ok, so since I started this whole discussion thing off, maybe I should tell y'all what I'm up to. I'm currently in Israel until december (I've been here since late january) on a leadership program for my youth movement. I've studied jewish history (modern and biblical), Israeli history, hebrew, leadership and a whole cornucopia of other things. I'm on a kibbutz at the moment where I'm working and in 2 weeks, I'm heading up north to a town called Migdal HaEmek (which means Tower of the Valley - cos there's a tower there and the town is in a valley) where I will be teaching english to underprivaledged kids from both arab and jewish backgrounds. when I get back I'll be going to vic and probably doing law and gender studies and english and other stuff. woohoo. Also, Megara, where are you planning on studying for your senior year? what university?
at otago...hoping to hear back before i leave the country for three weeks, but not looking too positive right now
