i have to be in the mood for guns and roses.some stuff is cool and some of it not so cool.but compared to this crap today give me guns and roses

Pretty much all of their albums up to The Spaghetti Incident are fucking brilliant. Axl was obviously one of the best rock singers of his time....

Not including "One In A Million," obviously.... but still, great rock n roll.

I can't believe people are still posting about this. They're fucking bullshit hackneyed pricks and all of their albums should be incinerated.

 

The thing I don't like about GNR is that they were the only hair band of the 1990's and brag and acted like they were so much coolier then the grunge bands of the times.

 

Actually, they weren't the only "hair band" in the 90's.... But that's alright.

Did someone hijack this poll? Axl Rose may be a dumb fuck at times but he was a very talented singer, songwriter and performer back in the late '80s. And Guns N' Roses were an influential band and a breath of fresh air to say the least. Rock legends.

 

yea, axl might be a fucking twat, still doesn't mean that gun's n roses weren't an awesome band, how can you say anything bad about slash, the man rules the guitar.

axl was a prick, he spoiled the band, his voice is fucking torturous to listen to - im obviously not the only person who thinks that so please quit tryna defend him!!! if i was writing about something i loved and you didnt, and you said you didnt like them, fair enough. i wouldn't type a load of shit at you!!! you're almost as bad as camdread in his "psycroptic" topic (metal section), even worse - i don't think HE advised someone to jump off a cliff and insulted them just because they weren't into his stuff.

axl rose - ****, thief, plageorist, liar, NO respect for anyone (expect, maybe for the people like you who kiss his ass every day every night tryna make his name big and makin him out to be the next best thing since the invention of electricity.

slash - the only good thing that was in that band - thank christ he saw sense.

i likED the ENDING of november rain (y'all should know how it rocks up and gets more groove at the end!) but overall, g'n'r are SHIIIIIIIIITE and never did or never will do it for me.

 

Instead of focusing on the people Axl hurt, lets focus on the people who hurt Axl. Anyone up for hearing vivid descriptons of the sexual/physical abuse he underwent as a child? Don't worry. If it got too bad his mom would hold him afterwards. Or even better, anyone want to hear how his child died, or how the girl that he thought was the one just left him shoving him into a dark depression? I know this really exciting one about how he had to escape being locked up for the rest of his life and living on 4 dollars a day. You might like that. My personal favorite is the one when he was two and watched his dad "do something terrible" to his mom, but wait, it gets better, when he had to re-experience all of this through repressed memories! It never gets old. I'll get the popcorn! Think of it like movie night. I have quotes. Won't that be fun? Yeah! Cool! Didn't think so. So until you want the other side of the story shoved down your throat until you can swallow it, then leave him the fuck alone. That's all I'm fucking going to say unless someone else pisses me off.

That stuff happens to lots of people, all over the world, to children and adults, but no one sticks up for them or gives two shits. Also, I didn't know childhood abuse could be used as a "get out of jail free" card, or that it could justify acting like a douchbag. If so, I'm gonna go rob a bank now...
