I have some shoots coming up from seeds. I have been using greywater on them ever since they were sown (on the last day of May, so for a couple of weeks) - is this safe?

They greywater I am talking about is just water I collect in a container that runs off the boys' baby bottles while I rinse them. The bottles have already been washed (but some may have traces of detergent left on them).

I've heard that greywater should only be used on non-edible plants. But if you're using a biodegradable "green" detergent, maybe it might be okay in this instance???

Yeah I'm using an "Earth-Friendly" detergent. Since i had no responses for a while I made an executive decision to abandon the greywater.

    Thanx for your advice!

By all means use it. Any residual wash-stuff will be in quantities so low as to be almost undetectable. Plants don't take up organic molecules, anyway, AFAIK; they only take up dissolved nutrients such as nitrogen, iron, etc, and synthesize the rest.
