So about a week ago...I trimmed a little bud off one of my plants because I wanted to test the quality. I let it dry for about 3 days and I cured it in a glass canning jar for about 4 days. I got a little impatient and decided to smoke it last night....and wow, this is the best shit I've ever smoked. I wasn't sure how the plants would turn out but I really happy with them. I smoked it and watched a movie, then I played with my kittens for about 2 hours, went to bed for 3 hours...and when I woke up I WAS STILL HIGH! This was 7 hours later. Can't wait to harvest the rest of the plants. It's gonna be about a week or two yet.
I'm gonna wait until the pistils are about 60%-75% amber in color. I like more of a body high than a clear head high. The tops of the plants are still white but some of the bottom buds have turned color. Do you think I should just go ahead and harvest now or do you think it will be okay to wait?
Many growers (especially outside; you didn't say if yours were in or out) pick the buds as they ripen over the course of 10--14 days. Others like to harvest all at once, and enjoy the varied effects of buds at different stages of ripeness.
