Wrong for others to interpet for you what you thought or had meant? Have we come so far down the line in life that others now feel the need to tell us what we think and what we meant by what we said? Is this even right for another to do?
Not sure of your Point(s) but I can Think of a certain Poster which has recently chosen to illustrate the follies of the above...
People like that are really just talking to themselves anyway. I figure if someone is going to spend 1/2 of the conversation telling you what they think and the other 1/2 telling you what you think you might as well put up a cardboard cutout of yourself and leave.
Families probably the worst when it comes to that shit. I've had long drawn out arguments with my dad in which I never actually said anything. "You think this! Well let me tell you, the world doesn't work that way...." Last trip home I actually yelled at him for the first time since I was a kid; "DAD! HOW THE FUCK WOULD YOU KNOW WHAT I THINK!? YOU HAVEN'T LET ME FINISH A SENTENCE SINCE i GOT OFF THE FUCKING PLANE!!" some of my other favorite comebacks for this shit; "Gee, anything else going on in my head that I should know about?" "Good thing I have you to tell me what I think, otherwise how would I know?" "Look asshole, I'm responsible for what I do, I'm even somewhat responsible for what I think, but I'm not responsible for what you think I think".
