So I was , walking with my friend through the woods, and we come out into this huge gigantic field, and there are horses everywhere. It was really cool. So anyway, we hop the fence and get in witht he horses, and we walk across the field, and as we are walking, we see mushrooms popping out of masssive piles of horse shit. So I immediately think- SHROOMS! Because I've always heard how they grow out of farm animal shit. So, I pluck a couple off the shit, and walk with them. Then I remember how they are supposed to bruise blue. I pinched and bumped the mushroom in a couple places. And this is where my questoin comes in. When they bruise blue, do they mean like BRIGHT BLUE? Or is it a more gray-ish blue? Mine bruised a gray-ish blue. Anyone have pictures of what a blue-bruised shroom should look like? htanks I've looked up on identification websites, and I think its the type of shroom called PANEAOLUS CYANESCENS. I found the pictures of it at erowid.org SO yeah, tahts my main questoin- how does it look when it bruises blue? ANd finally, if it IS shroom, then I should let it dry out for a week or so and then eat it? The stem too? Sorry if I sound exceptionally unaware. Cheers and Love, Dylan
eat it and see if you die... don't fuck around with wild mushrooms unless you KNOW what you are doing... and you obviously don't. Drugs or not, poisonous mushrooms can KILL you.
Yeah, seriously, just buy some if you want them, or cultivate them yourself. It's not worth the risk if you're unsure.
actually... its not that dangerous if ye know what yer doing. lots of psilocybin-containing mushrooms grow on horse dung or cow dung. -You found them on horse dung, and i strongly doubt deadly mushrooms grow on horse dung in open fields. and yes its blue grayish. id recommend taking a spore print to help identify your shrooms. all u gotta do is put a cap on a white or black paper (the print might be black or white, so u might wanna try with both colored papers) gills facing the paper, and put a cup on it and let it for 5+ hours, then the spores will have printed onto the paper and you'll see a certain color . depending on the color, check out websites tellin you of PANEAOLUS CYANESCENS spore color. and if its not the right color, then chances are you didnt find the right shrooms. if ye wanna eat it after all... just start with a small dose, a cap or less. just to see if ye can feel any psychoactive effects. and yeh let em dry first, if yer drying them naturally just by putting them in a normal temperature room, do NOT put them in a sealed ziploc bag, ive done it and it rots the shrooms. Shroom cultivating is awesome, but really do a lot of research before going... i found what i believe to be psilocybe cyanescens this week ... by the way, if ye can, take a pic of your shrooms... for the blue thing: usually theyll be blueish once dried though, if they were ALREADY blue when picked, i'd prolly recommend NOT to eat them or keep researching them. but usually theyll appear a little blue at some spots, like the cubensis shrooms dealers sell: http://leda.lycaeum.org/Images/Psilocybe_cubensis_Specimen.7087.jpg
