I feel like my life has been one big game. Me against the shrinks, my boyfriends and god knows what capitalism and unhip people, and them against me. I think this is how wars are started and go on and on and on. What to do, play tennis, or soccer, or seduction games, or religion/forgiveness, go into business, stand up for world peace, or study the philosophy of humour or steady on old girl, lock yourself in the house, meditate and stuff. There are a few different points of view about it. Hopefully there's a logical solution to it all. What do you think?
Don't take this the wrong way, but wars are intricate and much more complex then what you described. I can't tell you what to do with you life, that's something you've got to figure out on your own. Try not to look at it as such a them aginst me kind of situation. If you do you may find yourself getting stuck in that mindset. Don't worry about not having things figured out. You're young.
Whatever you focus on gets bigger and everything else gets smaller. Forgiving your enemies is just a way of shrinking them down to a size where you can walk around them.
Yeah, its hard to decide to do with your life; and no one else can really give yout he answer because it is something you must choose for yourself. It sounds like you could use some perspective-- there are so many different paths you can take. So many choices you could or couldn't make. The bottom line is, you just have to do what feels right and what feels good. just be sure you aren't hurting yourself or anyone else. If something is not feeling good to you, then stop doing what hurts you. the thing about being young that sucks is that your mind changes so much and so quickly, but you have to recognize that things END. Bad feelings, bad situations, etc. these things pass with time, if you are smart enough to recognize when to let things go. Give it up a little, purrin. Choose to feel good. The world is a big place, but when you are caught up in the locality of your personal world, it can seem very small. Go sit in a field and look up at the sky. Find a place that give you a positive outlook. Things are never as bad as we make them out to be.... they say the way to the dark side is the fear of loss, don't fear losing out so much...then you'll be IN IT> Peace and love
There is no easy logic in this world as far as I can see. I have just got back in from my mates shop, where he is doing a great business and everyone says he is a great guy but his shop windows keep getting broken every other month or so.. noone ever sees anything and noone ever knows anything about how it happened. His friend just died from a heroin overdose, even though he had given it up a long time ago and was trying to rebuild his life. Before that I had just arrived back in the UK after burning all my boats to build a new life in the USA with my woman, the woman who chose to side with friends who tried to split us up and who I bitched out through my reaction to her friends actions. The vow of for better or worse seems to mean nothing anymore, the same as love and the same as loyalty. The people who I thought I could count on as good friends back in the UK also betrayed me through their actions. Beyond my personal situation the world rewards those who are evil, who have no loyalty and who are violent. We live in a world where money can buy you out of any situation, and where being poor,being nice or wanting to live life quietly is almost a crime. There is no logic or reason in todays world, the best anyone can do as far as I have learnt is to just ride the storm or to return to a hermit like existence. Then again maybe I am just jaded.
It was a nice story about the wolves nimh. Yeah yem I could use some more perspective. Lodui, Well I do hope that the people making wars have to face up to their own conciences one day as well.
Tipo, you can have logic and reason - it might be a little old fashioned from where your standng it might seem like a sign of the times that theres capitalism and the betrayal that you experienced interfering but I think you should still do your best for what you believe in.
