Weird glowing thing

Saturday night around 11:10 I was picked up by my mom from work, I looked up from the car and saw a bright glowing object, I didn't really figure out it's shape, it was there for around 30 seconds and then it faded out. My mom also saw it, so I don't think i'm so crazy! Any idea's as to what it might or could have been?

 

Yeah I've heard of some weird kind of lightning that comes as a ball and hovers around things.

Could've been a million things, judging from that descrip...
I'll give a look-see to my favored UFO-sighting sites and see if anything was recorded anywhere for that date...

 

i once saw this glowing light outside my window across the street in the cemetery..i stared at it for like five minutes when i looked at the clock and back it was gone..

 

How big was it? I saw something similar last week...I was getting ready for bed and trying to open one of the windows in my room, it wouldn't budge, and I was sorta pissed cause that's the window I smoke out of. I gave up and turned out the light. Then a few seconds later this green ball appears right outside the window I just attempted to open. It hovered around the window, maybe looking for a way in? It looked almost electronic, except the window in question was facing about a half acre of woods. It didn't hurt my eyes like a laser, and it was green. Then after several seconds it flew back into the woods. I have never seen any fireflies in this area, and have never seen a firefly that was a.) that bright and b.) green, ever. It might have been some type of bug (there are a lot there lol), but I'm not sure.
