you will get a multitude of different responses here. really, what is 'worth' it? to some people, differnet things are worth more. exacmple, you might consider learning about the possibilities of your mind as more important than having a fun experience. you might consider the disconnection more comfortable than others. you might find it more fun than someone else even in teh exact same circumstance. its varied and youll never know till you try it. all you have to remember is to think of it as a real, very psycho-inducive chemical, and not as some dandy product you picked up at the store. its serious. and there are plenty of horror stories on this board to confirm this, from people using it hundreds of times and ruining their life to taking it a couple of times and being fucked up for months (emotionally). personally, i liked it but would definately not make it a common thing. it wasnt always fun but it was definately an eye opener. but that is because i study the mind. some people dont give a shit about how their brain works, they just want to feel good. dxm is probably not the right drug for someone in that category. another category of drug users are escapists. dxm can be good for them, but in many cases too good, and a destructive habit can form
me, i drank a bottle, i think i got an allergic reaction or something, cause i got soo fucked i was itching my forehead till i left gashes all over it and itching my neck till it was dark red. had to keep soaky my head in water like every 5 minutes to try to get the itches away.......so go for it
Personally I love DXM. It gives me a more powerful trip then LSD. When I first started it I used the pills and did it every day, then I just quit. But while I was doing it I had one overdose and went to rehab for 3 months. Now I do it maybe once a week, if that. All I use now is Delsym, which tastes much better, lasts longer, and has more DXM then any surup I've seen. I've heard that the dextromethorphan in Delsym can build up in your blood stream so there is more of a risk of oding if you take any more then 8 ounces with a high tolerance. Start with a four ounce bottle. Don't use it if you have any history of mental illness in your family.
I'd say it's worth it to try it once. But for the love of Gary Coleman don't just chug a bottle of cough syrup. The trip can be pretty cool, varying between a drunk/high feeling and a complete Acid/Shroom trip and beyond. But it is VERY risky. You can get very messed up for a variety of reasons, from simple O/D to chemical reactions. Go to erowid and research it heavily, and do not trip beyond the 2nd plateau your first time. Do -not- use anything with active ingredients other than DXM, and do not go driving or walking or anything until you're completely past it. It can result in a very enjoyable high and a very pleasant 'afterglow' too if all done right...steps can even be taken to avoid the nasty taste of the syrup. But it can also just make you very sick if you don't do your research.
triple c's are the way to go. sometimes i washed the sweet, red coating off the pills because it supposedly is there to make someone throw up if they take too many. i never threw up from em though with or without coating. to start my ccc expierience, i would take 4-6 pills and wait 30-45 minutes, then take however many more (ussually another 4-6). this would give me a trip that slowly came up on me and then became that intense, total psychedelic, energeticly charged trip. Unfortunately, right before i quit i would take packs at a time though. (addiction). treat DXM with respect and it will treat you very well. triple C's are the same thing as coricidin hbp
High doses of Chlorpheniramine Maleate (CPM) can cause severe and life-threatening symptoms including seizures; shortness of breath or troubled breathing; weakness; loss of consciousness; severe dryness of mouth, nose, or throat; bleeding from skin, mouth, eyes, rectum, and vagina; and possibly death. We have seen recommendations that no more than 24 mg of CPM be taken in a day. Don't do the "Triple Cs." I think it's worth it. Don't take too much for your first time. If you know what to avoid I think you'll be perfectly fine. 2extreme, ur probably right about all that. i cant say ur wrong. i can say i never had any Rectal bleeding though, lol. IMO, ccc's are the best product for their effect, but probably do produce one of the worst risks. i have read an article about some dude who took 60 triple c's and he was in the army. if i recall correctly, it took like six ppl to hold him down to get him to a hospital. i think he was trying to commit suicide though i am sure he was addicted anyway. i have a small tale myself about a suicide OD attempt when i was 19. i took 1 pack of triple c's and 24x200mg seroquils. thats what 4800mgs? seroquil (anti-psycotic) was perscribed to me at night to sleep, and damn that shit would put me out! so about 45minutes into this i was very fucked, like FUBAR. my parents found me and wanted to take me to the emergency room but i refused. now my father was like 49yrs and he lifted wieghts everyday for 2 hrs, and he is a first degree blackbelt. by force, it took him an hour and a half just to get me outside and close to the car. my mother said that he was drenched in sweat by the time he was done. i only remember fragments of this expierience, or my struggle. i think that triple c's give a person some sort of extra, un-natural energy. 4,800mgs of seroquil should be enough to put a cow down, if at least for a few days. but thats my FUBAR story. havent had triple c's or DXM since.

I'd say its worth it, I'd avoid the syrup though, and if you're going to use triple C's, don't take more then 8 of them, get the rest through robo gel caps. DXM is can be fun, I never really seen a downside to it, just after you do it enough(which was like by the 7th time for me) it just gets boring.
