so i've wanted to get my upper ear pierced before i even got my ears pierced period... i first brought up the subject at age 13 and havn't mentioned it for 3 years. just yesterday i asked my mom and dad again and they said no... but i really want this and i can't have it with out their permission. any suggestions on how to convince them?
Question it. Parents have a hard time argueing things when you question their reason and the best thing they can say is because.
Try to explain to them that even if they dont like it, it doesnt matter because it will be on YOUR ear. That's what I said to my 'rents and it worked, but then again everybodys parents are different.
Hmm...also you can remind them that you're gonna do it ANYWAY when you turn 18, so they are only stalling the inevitable, and they should get used to the idea. Then give em a big smile. :X
hey i know how that is! thank goodness i have a really cool mom but a strict dad just try talking to the more mellow one and what i always used was that if it looked that bad or something it can always be taken out (my ears are triple pierced and douldle at the top on my left ear) it took a while to convine then but my moms pretty cool she even took me to get my bellybutton pierced as a vday pressent although my dad just now saw it yesterday he was mad but maybe if you can convine one of them to take you then u can prove to the other one its not as bad or trashy or whatever as they thought it would be. my best friend wanted her ear pierced at the top but her parents are super strict so we got her sister to go to wal mart and buy an out home piercing kit there like 10 dollars (but u gotta be 18 to buy it) and we did it in june we each did each others and thats how i ended up with 2 on the top on my left ear but it looks cool and her parents still havent noticed hers...hey it took my dad 2 years to notice i had my ears double pierced and hey least your not asking for a tattoo..good luck peace and love *ash*
