Anyone else mad/sad to see Phish end? I'm 13 and only got to make it to one of their shows Give me your thoughts on this.
Truthfully, I'm not that sad about Phish breaking up, because I'm more of a Deadhead than a Phan. So, I really wish I was able to see them while Jerry was still with them. But alas, I wasn't.
it sucks.. all because of god damn trey... trey said he wanted them to beak up cuz he didnt want phish to out last its popularity and fade away... well...i think that phish should stay together for the phans!!!...insted of breaking up so they dont look stupid when the band fades away
right on!! i hate when bands or tv shows or anything say theyre ending because they dont want to turn into something that drags on and on..
i love phish so much and i never ever got to see them! and im so sad that its their last month man! im gonna cry for like a week... but i love phish too much to not support them, so im with them all the way
my parents were both phishheads before they were big so ive seen more shows than i can count. phish isnt the same today as they were 15 years ago. you can hear it in the music. you can see it in their stage presence. im not sad that they wont be playing anymore because their music has alot to do with who i am today. im grateful that the boys gave me those moments of bliss wich ill never forget. anyone who has had this experience will know what im talkin about. so lets not be sad or mad but lets be glad for what those four ski-bums from vermont gave to us. "and i keep waiting for the time when i can finnally say that this has all been wonderful but now im on my way" so long and thanks for all the phish! ~shine on in love and light~ Sundance
I saw a documentary about Phish at the 'IT' Festival (on PBS :H...). Honestly, I was blown away by what I heard. Now, I really wish I could catch them when they come to Philly, but I'm going to a festival in New York, the day after. And I'm still doubtful if I could even go to The Dead concert this Saturday, at the same venue that Phish are playing at next Thursday. It would take a shit load of coaxing for my parents to let me go to both shows, and this festival in New York.
I'm happy that Phish is breaking up...cause now i got 3 more bands to check out....VIDA BLUE!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm a big deadhead (Grateful that is - not the Jerry-less variety), but never really cared for Phish. I saw Trey a few times. He was pretty sweet - especially with John Medeski and Dave Matthews - but Phish never did much for me. There are a bunch of other bands that I will travel far and wide for: SCI, Galactic, KDTU, UM, to name a few. I watched Trey interviewed by Charlie Rose. He said that his only regret was that the party had became more important than the music. Right on, Trey!
Yeah I'ma DeadHead till the end. Phish is/was great but they never meant much to me. As I said before Trey is an egomaniac and when his solo career bombs among other things then I bet we'll see a "reunion". just my thoughts.....
I dont care if they stop writing music but why not still do a small tour once a year during the summer or something. I wouldn't even care if they did like only ten shows or something. Give us phans something to look forward to once a year. There's nothing like a Phish show. I really wish they could keep on playing even if its only for one month out of the year.
I'm not sad at all. You have to respect thier wishes. I can't wait to see what happens as each dudes' side projects turn full time and evolve. I love Vida Blue, JMP, Trey and Mike!!! No need to be so upset. I only got to see them once before, but I am goin up to Boston to hopefully get a ticket and then on to Coventry!!! See you there! Bring plenty of acid
It is typical for disappointed fans to turn to downplaying there fromer favourite band after a breakup. It is selfish to believe that bands (individuals)are in service to you. Phish has given many many years of great jams, and they've no duty or obligation to perform just so you've something to look forward to. Do you truly want to end up paying jackedup ticket prices to see a once grand band forcing themsleves to play their top 10 ten hits for their few faithful and then many newly found fans? There are so many other great bands to enjoy, take advantage of that, and appreciate what Phish gave when it was ripe to give. 'It's better to burn out than to fade away!' Life and love
I guess it was "all about the fans" at one time. I do respect their wishes though. I guess it was just time to move on.
lotta phish lovin' in my heart. it is really sad that they arent together anymore. they were an amazing band.
