I'm not sure if this should go here or not but who really cares. Anyways, do any of you have or know a good dry granola recipe that has clusters and is crunchy? I did have a bag of some granola a few weeks ago but it's gone now and the store I usually buy it from doesn't have it. I have checked many other stores but they apparently don't have it either. Thanks.

    1 cup rolled oats
    1 cup barley flakes
1/2cup finely chopped nuts (any kind)
1/2 cup oat bran or unprocessed wheat bran
    1/3 cup sunflower seeds
    1/3 cup sesame seeds
    1/3 cup pumpkin seeds
1/3 cup shredded unsweetened coconut (optional)
5 to 6 tablespoons (packed) light brown sugar
    1/4 teaspoon salt (rounded measure)
    1 tablespoon carob powder
    Optional additions
Dried fruit - up to 1 cup
Wheat germ - up to 1/2 cup

Place a large (ideally 10-inch), heavy skillet over medium heat. Add the oats, barley flakes and nuts, and cook, stirring, for 10 to 15 minutes, or until they smell and look toasty.
Add the oat bran, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds and pumpkin seeds, as well as the coconut, if desired. Keep cooking, stirring frequently, for another 10 minutes or so.
Sprinkle in the brown sugar and salt. Continue to cook and stir for about 3 more minutes, or until the sugar melts slightly, coating the other ingredients. Remove from the heat, sprinkle in the carob powder and toss to distribute it throughout the mixture.
Cool to room temperature, and add dried fruit and wheat germ, if desired. (Cut large pieces of fruit into smaller pieces.) Transfer to a clean glass jar with a tight-fitting lid or zip-style plastic bag. To keep it fresh longer, store it in the freezer.
Yield: About 3 1/2 cups or 7 servings).

    3 cups dried twigs

    1 cup squirrel turds
1 1/2 peanut shells off the floor of the neighborhood bar
Liberal amounts of various pet danders

Put all ingredients in a wet burlap sack. Tie sack around you waist and go for a jog. Bury sack for three days in your Mom's garden.

    Dig up and enjoy.

    Happy munching, Squirt.
