There is nowhere I feel more relaxed and happy than with nature. It just seems to melt away any negitivity inside me.
....in a way it may be indescribable its so amazing... just feeling at one with everything... its just beautiful... just beautiful... not able to explain...
its because its our true habitat, where we are meant to be living, i think thats why we feel so connected and know that its right.
i absolutely love nature. there's nothing more beautiful, or comfortable, than sitting in a forest or on a beach, smoking a joint. one of my favourite things to do. sit, and smoke, and think. i think i might go do just that, actually...
i love sitting out in nature. it gives me a sense of belonging and freedom. it's good to see something untainted by man just doing what it does.
It's nice and stuff. I usually spend alot of time outside in the country. I like the city too, dawg. Like going clubbin' and mackin' big time. (wtf? I actually said that? I've never even been in a club.)
I believe that people would be happier and more content if they spent more time outside connecting with nature. I LOVE naute and feel depressed when I see trees being replaced with McMansions/Subdivisions/Homes and businesses. I guess a lot of people don't realize that animals need a place to live too and nature gives us peace.
I am at my happiest when I am outside. Its so peaceful and relaxing to me. I feel like I connect and become one with all of nature. Nature is a beautiful thing. I feel so much when outside, its just hard to explain. When In my woods or just around nature in general, I seem to just free my mind of everything, and start to dream.
I'm not one for all that spiritual stuff, however I love nature like it was a child. I love being surrounded by it. The animals, the trees, dirt, water, shrubs, sun. Oh yess.
When in nature I feel completely at ease. Things are the way they should be, everything is so beautiful After a few days backpacking I feel completely relaxed for weeks... but once the city starts reigning it's terror on me, it tends to fade until I'm back again! Here are some photos of a hiking trip I took last fall to the Smokey Mountains.
My hubbie & I went for a walk near the ocean today. It was wonderful. I love being outside in/with nature.
Nice thread - thank you. We live in a beautiful place, surrounded by nature. Every morning, we open our door and give thanks for the beauty that we live in, for the elementals and all of the nature spirits. If more people took a little time to connect with their true selves through a real appreciation of the joy of the natural world, our world would be a very different place.
I feel at one with nature; especially when I am among it. There is so much beauty in nature; a natural gift. "Don't it always seem to go, that you don't know what you've got 'til it's gone? They paved paradise put up a parking lot." -Joni Mitchell (Big Yellow Taxi)
I envy you for that. Every morning I open my door and see cars and trucks and hear sirens and violence and the thousands of people moving about like little ants.
Let me get this straight, you have a problem with progress... If I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times... Try living in the dirt- it's quiet... it's nature... But, what you people don't understand is... If you want to live in a world like that you have to live without the convieniances we find... NO INTERNET, no antibiotics, and so on and so on.. There is no in between, either you live with the good and the bad, or you suck it up and die in the forest.
I love nature, it's so beautiful. I really am the happiest when i'm camping or hiking. Paragliding is my favorite sport, it feels great to fly with the birds.

Nature is a beautiful thing, and we are part of it, just lots of us don't want to be, they want to be "civilized", I just want to rejoin Mother Nature
I must have voted, could care less. How can I be "one" with trees and animals and all that junk, when I am not a tree? I am a human being, and that's something really special and different. Yeah, maybe I care some, but nature doesn't need me to worship the creation, rather than the Creator, God. Yeah, God created all that, but God created people too, and people are what we are commanded to care about. Love thy neighbor as thyself, Jesus said. My Dad often said that he felt like when out in nature, it is "God's cathedral." But inside manmade structures, can also be about as natural, for people. We often don't like spiders and snakes and mosquitos, and being "one with nature," couldn't that be like being eaten up by bugs and mosquitos, or being out in a pile of poo or something? One reason to get rid of the dirt and moisture found in nature (rid it out of our homes at least), is to get rid of the undesirable critters that are found there, than are unwelcome in our homes.
