All of my life I have been able to fly in my dreams. Soar above the buildings, or float a few feet off the ground. What a great feeling. What does this mean? Also..have always had a dream of a very large old house with hidden staircases. The house is haunted & scary. I am running through the house trying to hide. But it's weird. I'll be hiding in say, a closet...and then the closet will have a hidden door I go in..which leads to another room with a trapdoor in ceiling...etc etc..leading me through a maze trying to hide in this huge haunted house. What could that mean? Can anyone help? Thanks~
Yep. Those were always my personal favorites. Except when the flying turned into falling. Never could figure those houses out. I always ended up in the attick or down in the basement.
i don't know about meaning, except that flying is one of the classics, that i think means something like liberation or freedom. but anyway i have that big old house too, i think its litteraly about exploring the inner workings of our own mind, the house with all the rooms and odd feeling things about it and all the secret passages everywhere. in mine it is often the upper three floors of and even larger structure that may have two or three more below it between the haunted house floors and the world outside. these lower floors in mine are kind of like a cross between a musium and a casino, often with good places to eat and sometimes a kind of people mover system that is like an elevator on tracks that can go everywhich way including sometimes horizontal. sometimes there are other strainge kinds of elevators in my dreams, but this is getting away a little bit from that old/preserved/musium house. sometimes there are old advertisments, like junk mail and blow ins from newspapers littering the stairways in the hidden passages, and of course dust and cobwebs. but then sometimes one of them will be cleand up and opened out to the public. i'll bet that symbolizes what i'm doing here, running off at the keyboard on the net, making it public. other times the'll have been sealed up at one end or the other, often unintentionaly in the proccess of remodling one of the rooms or public halways adjacent to them. that place just never fails to fascinate me. i usualy go into the hidden, behind the scenes part of it to get away from the public places where other people sometimes are. also the rooms in the upper floors, have all the furnature shoved togather randomly in the middle of the room, like a musium were people can see all the different kinds people used to have. sometimes the'll be those 'crowd control' rope and pylon things too, which is why i'm calling it sort of a musium at times. but always i know where there are entrances to the hidden places from just about every room and bend in the 'public' hallways. it's great fun to be able to 'dissappear' and then come out someplace else where no one is expecting you and to be able to avoid people and situations sometimes this way. =^^= .../\...
Thanks for the replies. Yes, flying dreams are the best aren't they? I don't fall in mine though. The house explanation makes sense.. In my old house there are lower levels too. Sometimes there is a storm coming & I'm trying to get to the basement.
