Drug Tests

So some friends and I were interested in trying Salvia. however, we all may have drug tests for employment in the near future. Would Salvia show on the test?

doubt it, shouldnt be a problem anyway its totally legal, or at least it is here ;S

near future any were from a week to 2. but in CO it is legal.

 

If its legal, than you have nothing to worry about. However since it is an opiate in may show up as one on a test. But it should be out of your system within a few days. So you should be good.

Indeed. The psychoactive chemicals in salvia (thought to be Salvinorin A/B) effects the Kappa-opioid receptors in our brains.

 

Cannabis effects dopamine receptors but it's not dopamine.
LSD effects serotonin receptors but it's not serotonin.
Salvia effects opioid receptors but it's not an opiate.
Salvia is a diterpene, not an opiate. Opiates are alkaloids and the chemical structure of salviorin is nothing like a alkaloid.

There is no standard drug test at the moment that will show salvia use. It should be possible to detect the metabolites of salviorin in blood and urine but these metabolites have not yet been identified.

 

do you have to take a drugs test for every job in America?
