I'm just so discouraged! Last night I was walking on air because the pain was going away. I realized how much it was wearing me down. I feel like crying. :(

Yes! The only time it was ever almost better was when I was on Diflucan every day, two times a day, for two weeks. Then I ALMOST got rid of it. I think the only reason I didn't kick it then was because the Nystatin wasn't working for the baby. We haven't been able to BOTH be treated properly at the same time.

well shit. I still have the infection, but it's very small. I've been just rinsing my crotch every time I use the bathroom with a solution of two tablespoons of white vinegar with two cups of water. I don't know if that gets rid of it, but it makes the pain stop for me. maybe you could try that? otherwise, I don't really know what to tell ya.

Both of you need Diflucan at the SAME Time, a minimum of 7 days. (you could also try a week or so of .5% Gentian Violet, but if you can get the Diflucan, it is a bit easier to use, although others actually prefer the Gentian.)

"Almost" getting rid of it means either the treatment wasn't long enough, or the WRONG agent was used. Your baby and you have a Nystatin RESISTANT strain of Candida, you need something else. Either Gentian Violet, or Diflucan. (Personally, I'd do the Diflucan, but it is up to you.) BUT you have to take the same remedy at the same time. AND, treat your vagina as well, AND your partner, too. Please read the Thrush Stickey again. You can get rid of it. :)
