Hi. I do not eat meat, but I use dairy products. Recently has wanted to exclude from the diet milk. But has then has then found out that in vegetative food there is no vitaminB12.Who knows as full absence of this vitamin an organism of the person will be reflected. Whether it is necessary to accept this vitamin separately? Or without him only it will be better?
In the FAQ we have links to a lot of basic sites and several have in-depth information on b12. Basically, B12 exists in critters and in fermentation. If you eat eggs, you are covered. some vegetarian (yeast) derived sources are available as suppliments. I'm guessing you are not in the US, so I personally would not know what brand names to suggest. Where are you? perhaps we have somone who will know on the board.
nutritional yeast! you can put it on evvverything. It's so flavorful and adds a cheesy...element to lots of food.
B12 needs are easily met with fortified foods, or supplements if you wish. Breakfast cereals, soy milks and various other things are usually fortified with B12.

Since your looking to give up milk, I presume your gonna replace it with soymilk? Most soymilks have added fortified B12 in them so you would be covered.
Seaweed...Dulse, Kelp, and Kombu have some B12 Spirulina has enough in one teaspoon as well as being the most concentrated food on the planet for a minimum daily. Intestinal fermentation produces B12 In short, it is 100% meat indystry propaganda that the only way you can get B12 is from animals The same with L-Carnosine. Many vegetarians will not take it because the meat industry says the only source is meat. It is not. Again fermentation is what produces it, and it is a cross-link and glycation scavenger, and when the synthetic drug ALT-711 is released to the public, L-Carnosine will be absolutely essential to scrounge up all of the broken cross-links that ALT-711 destroys.
Not all soy products contain B12. Read labels carefully to ensure you are getting the right amount. You should be getting at least 3 micrograms (mcg) of B12 per day. These are not reliable sources of B12, and therefore I feel this to be irresponsible advice. While B12 deficiency is not nearly as bad as pro-meat industry people make it out to be, it is still not dismissible as meat industry propaganda. B12 is produced by special bacteria, and is most reliably found in fortified foods and supplements.
And what happens to the person when it does not receive b12? What bad can happen if to not receive at all ihim?
B12 deficiency is pretty rare, and when it does happen it is completely reversible by taking some B12. Symptoms include weakness and fatigue, sore tongue, tingling sensation in arms and legs, in serious cases it can affect the nervous system. Again, these symptoms sound bad but they are completely reversible by taking some B12. As long as you are eating fortified foods or taking a supplement then you have nothing to worry about.
Half-truth! Mal-absorption of B12 in foods is probably the #1 cause of B12 deficiency. While intestinal bacteria do produce some, low stomach acid can cause B12 uptake to be slowed or non-existent. Crohn's disease, and intestinal parasites can also interfere with absorption of B12. A Tablespoon of Spirulina contains approximately 8 micrograms of B12. As you said, Brewer's Yeast is also a good source of B12. The most prudent course is to be de-toxified with occasional fasts with milk thistle, dandelion, and other liver cleansing herbs, and to eat more nuts than Soy Products, with the exception of Tempeh and Miso. The Nuts will increase stomach acid, and thus allow for better absorption of all nutrients. The meat industry is constantly giving out false information to the public. FOr instance, recently, I read an article that the only source for the cross-link scavenging L-Carnosine was meat. This is 100% false, since some companies are producing L-Carnosine from fermented grains, and in quantities of 500 mg per capsule. Another piece of propaganda that still exists is the "Protein Myth". That is so ridiculous. that it is not even worth addressing. You can find so many examples of certain industries putting out massive amounts of false and misleading press. The biggest sponsors of Partnership for a Drug Free America are Pharmaceuticals and Beer companies. In the 1920s, lead companies were putting out lies about ethanol as a good anti-knock compound for lubricating valves in engines.
after reading this i've started to wonder whether or not this strange tingling i sometimes i get in my finger tips could be cause by b12 deficiency??? It's rare, but it will usually start in the morning, and last almost all day. I rarely notice when it goes away, but i know when it's there it annoys the hell out of me. It's almost like a numbness....sort of like when you'r hand is "asleep" but not painful. It more likely will happen the day after a night of drinking.
This is true, they refer to this as: Pernicious Anemia. For people who have troubles absorbing B12, typically are treated with shots of B12. If you're worried that you have a deficiency have your doctor give you a Complete Blood Count. If you've had a CBC recently, and it was normal, chances are you don't have a B12 deficiency. There is no known overdose of B12, so I suggest taking supplements if you don't feel you're eating adequate amounts of B12. Some people prefer liquid [spray] and it is believed it absorbs more easily in most people's bodies. However, I rely on a regular multi-vitamin, and it works well. If you're vegan, and can't find a multi-V in a local store that doesn't contain animal products, you can purchase one from here: www.veganessentials.com The one I really like is called "Advanced Vegan" Be careful if you're buying vitamins from a regular chain/department store, as a lot of vitamins contain fish products and the like. I made the mistake of buying a Woman's One A Day without reading the bottle before purchasing it, and when I got home, I realized on the label that it was made with fish products. Not everyone believes it, but I think a multi-v is essential for ANY diet. I don't know one person that eats a balanced diet, no matter if they are omnivorous, or veggie. My two cents.
Pesticides in non-organic food can also cause tingling in extremities, so a complete dietary panel would be in order. If you drink, the hops, grains, or fruits used to make them can be non-organic. Also, alcohol can cause constricting of small capillaries, which in turn can cause nerve damage, even if only temporary. The sub-lingual B12 that Apples+Oranjes talks about is an excellent way of getting the vitamin if you are uncertain, either spray or under the tongue. This is the best Vegan Vitamin Mix I have found below
