Lodui is right, who gives a fuck about regional pronunciation? I make fun of southerners who talk like they have a mouthful of food, but I don't get all pissed off about it.

Ahah.. I don't think it matters.

Basically, my county is looked at like maybe cajuns are in Micha's neck of the woods by outsiders...

So we all have this halfassed English accent with a gone with the wind thing going on because of the brits that settled here in the 1700s... The poor ones would try to copy the rich ones that went off to boarding schools and to study abroad, so everyone still retains the accent/dialect/slang. Toss in the heavy inbreeding and the fact that we didn't win the American Revolution, and you've got a sorry sight to most people.

    Take it easy,

I agree with anyone who mentions me.

Get's kinda confusing in debates sometimes, but it's worth it.

Hahaha, I was arguing with some South African friends of mine and called Afrikaans "kitchen dutch" but apparently it descends from high dutch...so there you go....

plus it has been influenced by french, german, english and african languages....

    but in essence, simple dutch

Apologies accepted, but it is even more accepted if you apologise in Afrikaans.
