They are 5 meo-mipt and 4 acco-dipt. 5mm is listed in Tikhal, however you need to do a search for the 4ad. It is found in the Dipt vault.

Who knows perhaps I actually do know what I'm talking about

What the hell are you talking about? We are supposed to know what chemical you mean when you use an abbreviation only known to yourself? By "4ad" I presume you mean 4-aco-dipt and since "4-acco-mipt" does not exist you must mean 4-aco-dipt. I am still not convinced you know what you are talking about and if you do, to avoid confusion, please use the correct terminology.

    Dude

Take a chill pill. Just because you've never heard of the abbreviation does not mean it does not exist. Thats how must RC's are referred to in my part of the worl. How the hell do you think 2ci and 2cb got started.

So much for contributing to the discussion. Makes you wonder what the point is when people jump all over you and give you a hard time.

They were the names given to the compounds by Shulgin.

But nobody else has ever heard of these abbreviations. I'm a daily reader of half a dozen drug sites, and I've NEVER heard of 5mm or 4ad (besides the Pixies' record label) and would never have figured out that you were in fact referring to common RCs. The potential for confusion is WAY too high, so the best policy is to refer to things by their proper names (or in the case of more well-established drugs, by common nicknames).

Hey, that's how you learn. You fuck up, and people correct you, and life goes on. Don't sweat it; thicken up your skin a bit. Cheers.

As mentioned above by others, the 2C series refers to the 2 carbon series.

And as also mentioned, the ultra short names you used do not fully communicate what you might be talking about. Examples: “4ad” just in the context of TiHKAL children and related compounds could be at least: 4-AcO-DET, 4-AcO-DiPT, 4-AcO-DALT, 4-AcO-DPT, 4-AcO-DMT… etc. though most people in the Western World would probably assume you are talking about a historical date. “5mm” could be 5-MeO-MiPT, 5-MeO-MET, 5-MeO-MMT, 5-MeO-MPT… etc. though most people the world over would assume you are talking about five millimeters. Last, “5ho-Dipt” seems to be 5-HO-DiPT which is possible, but, if I had to guess, would probably be about the nastiest stuff you could ever think to try.

So in the future at least use the proper ‘common names,’ as they really do denote structure and are not just arbitrary names. It’s not like all the East Coast players call 5-MeO-MiPT 5mm and all the West Coast stoners call it Moxy. Though some wannabes might try and come up with cooler sounding street names, it is best to just call it what it is. Far better to know you took 5.5 mg. of 5-MeO-MiPT than to take 2 pills of 5mm.

When you invent a drug, feel free to name it anything you like. But extend Dr. Shulgin the same respect.
