i was supposed to get my period on tuesday, but i still havent gotten it. it's one of those times when you know your going to get it cause your bloated, head hurts, bitchy, and just about all period symptons (and there is no possible way i could be pregnant). does anyone have anything that might help?
i think thats kinda normal i used to do that because it was only my 10th time or so having it but if your period just started, then expect it to be abnormal for awhile
i have had my period for about five years, and it is usually on time. me and my friend flew down to florida on tuesday and she is supposed to have gotten her period too. could that have anything to do with it?
mines never normal. so sorry idk... i have to estimate when it will be for me (scaryyyy when you might be pregnant...)
Well, I think its normal to skip a few periods, even if you aren't pregnant. I've skipped a few, due to stress, traveling, etc. so unless you miss your next one, I wouldn't worry about it.
either everything under the sun throws off my period....or nothing does, and it`s just irregular and always has been. going on 6 years of menustration, still as irregular as it was at first. pheonix, i wouldn`t worry too much as long as you`re sure you`re not pregnant.
Excerpt from 'Taking Charge of Your Fertility' "...the time from ovulation to menstruation (the luteal phase) is a finate length that is not affected by external factors such as stress." And a more indepth excerpt "The first part of the cycle, from day 1 of menses to ovulation, is the follicular (or oestrongenic) phase. Its length can vary considerably. The second phase of the cycle, from ovulation to the last day before the new period begins, is the luteal or progestational) phase. It usually has a finite lifespan of 12 to 16 days. What this means is that, ultimately, it is the day of ovulation that will determine the length of your cycle. For example, a woman could have an extremely delayed ovulation due to stress or other factors, not ovulating until day 30 or so. This would result in about a 44-day cycle. Thus, just because a woman is on day 44 and hasn't gotten her period yet doesn't necessarily mean she's pregnant."
Guess what - I thought it was all the above up there but it was not. For those serious vegetarians or tofu-lovers, high levels of an estrogen mimicking hormone, WILL screw up your cycles. It did for me. I started to moderate the amount of tofu/tofu products I consumed and everything was pretty regular.
Travel always screws up my periods...I think it's the stress. No matter what, I always get a period when I travel and plan to stay over three days anywhere. Never once has it failed me...-sigh-
