But Jedi, it may reflect somebody's genuine feeling. You have to take that into account. You may think, as I do, that the idea of 'spiritual rape' is only a mis-seeing of the truth of things, but still, it's possible to see how someone could arrive at such a feeling or idea.

Also, the idea that we have somehow been forced into an existence which is basically inimical to us is one which was held, for example, by the Gnostics of the early Christian era.
Even Chaitanya Mahaprbhu said we have fallen from the spiritual world somehow into this place.

The thing is though that we do have the chance for freedom, and to come into a relationship of Loving God; rather than blaming Him for our predicament, we should try to develop that.
And if we are focused on that, then we won't be very inclined to disrespect God, or other people, or the earth itself.

The ultimate example of the subject of this thread, IMO, is the philosophical foundation of most branches of Christianity: that all human beings are endowed with sinful nature and consequently damned for eternity because of the Original Sin of Adam and Eve.

The dualist philosophy of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu's spiritual lineage gives a clear cause-and-effect relationship between individual choice and material predicament...we each made a decision to come here...God didn't arbitrarily send us, we didn't unconsciously drift from omnipotence to ignorance, and we weren't automatically condemned by the actions of distant progenitors.

Hmm maybe you are right Bill, we are on the same path after all and maybe if sometimes expressing feelings in disturbing words helps some one find some sort of meaning and peace later on,then i guess there is nothing wrong with that.

    A fable comes to mind...

The madam of a brothel found herself short staffed, and unable to find any qualified professionals, hired a telephone operator and a schoolteacher. Over time, she found that the schoolteacher was far more popular than the telephone operator, and that customers would specifically ask for the schoolteacher - even offering to pay more.

She decided to listen in on their sessions to see if she could detect a difference in their technique.

When she listened in on the telephone operater, she heard her say "I'm sorry, your time is up!"

When she listened to the schoolteacher, she heard: "We're going to do this again and again until you get it right!"

Considering that without life there would be nothing, even the most menial and heinous life is better than nothing.

It's only humankind which judges their own worth and then takes that out on themselves.

In the ultimate analysis only the individual judges themself, and they are their own meanest jury.

What people think of gods means little except insofar as how it plays out in their own lifestream.
