    DUde defintely check out Pink floyd's first LP, Piper at the Gate of Dawn, it will blow your mind sober. also check out Jethro Tull's Aqualung for some good prog/hard rock.

    There was a progressive rock band called UK, featuring Allan Holdsworth on the guitar. Quite a listening experience. Check out their song "In The Dead Of Night", if you ever get a chance.

    I believe YES has been mentioned already, and rightfully so. The song "Roundabout" is a classic.
