ok, take your guitar and hold it so the neck is vertical to your face. raise it so half of the neck is above your head. turn it sideways so it looks like there is only one string which should be about between ur eyes. now pluk it. if the angle is correct, you can see the sound waves on the string! it works on all the strings, you just gota adjust the angle a bit. you can actually see the waves man!
I didn't have a guitar to hand as I'm in an office so your post caused someone many hundreds of miles away to stick an elastic band in his ear with one finger,stretch it out with the other and pluck away while adjusting the distance so the note changes.it sounded a bit like the themetune to pulp fiction
i know it is, but its not just the regular vibration you see easily. its real hard to get the angle, but it looks like the light waves or sound waves you see in science movies in school. its the best way i can describe it
no. its not just the vibration. you have to find the right angle which is real hard to find. and when you do you see that kind of things on your strings identically not just the regular vibrations
