hey...i was wondering about the whole 'reborn' tatooing. i mean, i have this tatoo on my inner wrist, but would like to...re-do it. not like touch it up, but , have a new design. (ugh why did i HAVE to get this tatoo? ) its not that big..maybe 3-4 inches long. i seen pictures in tattoo magazines of reborn tatoos. one person had a martin martian on them, then had it redone to some flowers. anyone know more about this? how much it would cost? thanks!
aka cover up tattoo's best bet is to go talk to your artist. what you currently half inevitably limits what you can have, and your tattoo artist will best know the limitations the current one places on the future one
My tattoo guy does cover-ups for about $50 minimum (that's his minimum for tattoos, period). He does really good work. Depending on the color of your tattoo, you may or may not have to get a real dark color to cover it up. So, the price is going to vary depending on where you go. Chain tattoo shops (Like Tattoo Charlies....they charge $400 for something my guy here will do for $100....and he's just as good) might charge more. Just find a tattoo artist you trust and talk to that person about it. (s)he might be able to suggest something, and may even draw something up for you.
Yeah most artist do cover-up it just depends on weather you know someone in a shop or someone that drives around on a hippie bus with his studio built into the bus, looking to make friends and gas money and runs a good clean business all at the same time.
