im bringing my two kids... one which is only 4 months now... and my 5 year old son. its pretty good for kids ... they offer quiet camping and there is a kids station from what i understand!
Why can't bobby and phil just kiss and make up? How much cooler would this show be with all of the boys back together. No incarnation of the dead feels right to me without phil on bass, it just doesn't vibrate the sternum and open the heart chakra the same way. Anyway, I think I might get to this fest if I have the money, if not I've heard there's an alternative cheap fest going on in woodstock the same weekend (that's woodstock, NY, NOT the site of the original woodstock festival-that's in Bethel, NY).
last year was my first time, but I saw lots of families w/ kids there...overall it's a pretty chill scene
yea im gettin more amped by the day... kinda bumming that i wont be seeing string cheese this summer but what can ya do right..... anyone also attending camp creek? i think that will be my number 2 for the year... i was going to hit up 3 but work is a bitch and i cant keep takin weekends off lol... damn job of mine haha!.... the bikers love it when you bring kids they look out for the mamas extra good... thats why i think im doing creek up there too... bringin two kids to any fest isnt wise but i feel safe up their at indian lookout with the kids.... everyone is looking out for ya.
i know gathering gets bigger each year, anyone know about how many people were there last year (or heard some estimate of how big its going to be this year?)
I would estimate around 8 to 10 thousand this year. It really has varied based upon the year. The year Phil played was the largest, estimated at over 15 K. Other years have been smaller in the 6 K range.
i think i can i think ican. my vacation just happens to be that week. and my vacation plans just happen to be falling through . .. . . i got room for a rider. anyone in the south wanna go? just need some gas money or food or beer.
