True, his point about the frederal reserve system in this country is true. But to denounce Bush based upon that is false. Both parties have failed to prevent this buildup of debt, and neither party has offered solutions for people stuck in the debt trap. I agree that this situation should change.

But what isn't being explored is the TRUE reasons for Bush's actions! It's just a conjecture! The filmmaker is entitled to his own opinions, and he has the right to suspect that Bush is lying. That's not the issue. The issue is this: since this film is only a conjecture of the motivations behind Bush's actions, the public really does not know any more truth after seeing this film as they did before.

 

Oh really? If you had really understood my post, you would have discovered that I did NOT claim to know more than this filmmaker. I stated that seeing this movie will not show you REAL truth about this administration, because it is just a CRITIQUE built upon a certain viewpoint. This man has every right to have his own viewpoint on Bush, and to make a film about it. But dont be believing that this movie shows the real truth.

 

What would you say if he's your age? Or do you have nothing to support your ideas and are forced to resort to personal and unrelated attacks?

 

Wait, so they are the mouthy ones, when you attack an idea that the poster you were responding to didn't even address. Attacking an opinion they might not even possess? Although I agree, personal attacks contribute nothing to an intelligent debate.

I would argue that the "war" in Iraq is more for the idealogical benefit of the current administration. The oil is a side benefit. By conducting a war impossible to lose, the support for the government usually increases. The same tactic was used by the Russian Czars when attacking the Ottoman Empire. Unfortunatly, both the current administration and the Russian Czars failed, working against the government. The oil is a side benefit.

 

Congress has done more damage than Bush. I would venture to say that it is ALL Congress's fault. They hold the purse strings.

And every one of those 'real files' that you guys produce is probably a slur of the real documents/videos, or something someone with a lot of time, some skill with a computer, and an agenda against the United States. The 'Informed decision' that you want people to make is only an acceptance of your views. You need to look at both sides of this decade-spanning conflict without emotions or a biased opinion. If someone is only fed one side of the argument, something many of you protest intensely, what choice can they make. Take the time to listen to someone elses opinion, or you will become what you hate, which is, oddly enough, the system that lets you do things like this without fear of formal persecution. And no, I am not employed by the goverment any longer. (And the US government is the largest supplier of jobs in the country).
