politics of war (split from family is pro war)

In the philosophycal field i'm a pacifist, and totally against war...but war is something that may not depend of our will, war can be imposed by others from the outside....suppose you live in a small country and your neighbour's big and well armed military forces decide invading the land you was born....should a pacifist accept a new language, a new culture, a new flag, or should he pick up a gun and leave to the front line ???
I believe in pacifism, i want a peaceful world, but i think there are some fights that we must face even with a gun in the hand......
A good example of pacifists fighting were the "maquis", the french resistance in WWII....

 

What should a pacifist do when facing a terrorist action ?? Look to the other side while whistling "be bop a lula"......???
I don't think so, there are a few things one must fight against with all his strength (and terrorism with all its innocent victims is surelly one of them.....so I'm a pacifist in war with terrorism, and I'm a pacifist capable of hating a person that have killed children after making a bomb to explode...)

 

You didn't put the soldiers anywhere. They volunteered.

Many people like you (supposedly anti-war) choose to ignore any good that occurs in Iraq. Iraq's first democratic government is now in power, thanks to the United States military. Don't speak about what you don't know.

And don't take credit for the volunteering of soldiers. You didn't have shit to do with their enlistment, and you don't have shit to do with the ones that are sent to Iraq. Get your head out of your ass.

I already enlisted, I ship out late July.

"believe anything they hear" For the majourity of the last two years I was very against this war. Then while working on a school project on Iran I came to the realisation that leaders like Ahmadinejad and Saddam Hussein need to be taken out of power for the common good of man.
Why don't you do some research that involves only facts and not opinions? It's not good to believe anything you hear, regardless of the point of view.

If people are pro war, let them fight it. It sux, innocent people die, agreed. But there are war mongers out there, so let them kill themselves off.

If you're against war, then don't join the army.
