I was in a bookstore the other day and the guy was playing some Booker T. and the MGs. I had never heard of the band before and was blown away. They sound quite psychedelic.

Booker T was pretty good. Not on the charts much but good music. The drums on Green Onions was sort of peculiar. No kick beats or anything through the whole song, just the straight rhythm. Unusual for any song. :)

I saw them live at the Crossroads Festival in Dallas. I had never heard of 'em before either, and they were kind of upstaged by all the big names, but it was good tunage nonetheless.
