I am some what of a virgin to the camp out concerts where you camp out for a few days and just chill. I have been too many regular concerts that last a day but never a 3 day event. I was wondering how much do they search you and your belongings when you come into the venue? How strick are they with pot and shit. Thanks.
If you're unsure, put your stuff in the bottom of your sleeping bag, and that in the bottom of your rucksack. Pretty much everyone's on drugs at these places, so they don't usually bother searching people
I've been to plenty camp-out festies and have never had my car or gear searched, however getting through the gates into the show, I have. Depending on what you're going to bring in, a stash pocket is a nice thing...you can buy patchy pants with them right in the inside of the leg Otherwise, get creative Good luck!
glass is usually frowned upon as a hazard if broken. some daylongs don't want ourtside food. Some allow outside food in the campground only, so budget one meal at a vendor. High Sierra has great food, btw, from raw vegan to Indian and Carribean. the key to the buzz, legal or not is subtlety. don't be obvious and a lot of security and local law enfircement will look the other way, BUT if you can, find out if there are wierd politics going on locally. a Sheriff in an election year (like this one) can make a show on the outsiders to parley into votes.
Come check out Schwagstock in Salem MO. It seems that half the folks I've met there are from Bellville. www.theschwag.com They have the coolest security ever.
