Hmm...I was walking down a big road here and noticed they're building a new, bigger road that crosses over it. There used to be quite a few groundhog holes right where they're building. So I was pondering what might've happened to the groundhogs... driven out before hand? I doubt it. Destroyed during detonations? I hope not... hmm... Not exactly an endangered species thread, but this seems the best place to put it.
here we have prairie dogs and landowners do one of three things: relocate (and that is rare to find a spot that will take them), vaccuum the burrow and give the animals to a raptor or black footed ferret program (read: kill) or poison the burrows. Would it be logical to do the same with groundhogs?
I think it would, probably, I know the rabbits are gassed out when building developments, so it's likely. I hadn't heard of ferrets being used though, interesting.
