I tend to find my favourites at Michael's... but lately I've bought quite a bit of hard-to-find yarns off of ebay, there's some good finds sometimes.

I am in LOVE with this Henry's attic organic cotton hand spun which i get online or from a lady on ebay. I also like hemp/wool which I get from pickering. I get the other stuff for little ponchos, and other odds and ends at Joann's

I just scored at the grocery store...they had Bernat knit and crochet kits on for $5!!

So I bought 2 of them just for the yarn...even better they are in coordinating colours...

Michael's or Joann fabrics. If I am in a pinch, Wal-mart. I hate to admit to it. :(

where i shop depends upon the type of yarn i'm buying. it i'm buying wool, cashmere or alpaca i hit either the farmer's market or the local fibre mill. if i'm buying man-made fibres i get it either online or leisure world.

Zellers for fancy yarn, or the Dollar store for plain yarn.

local yarn stores, it seems like this is a knitting mecca, we've got a lot to choose from. and of course, i always check out the yarn at the thrifts. right now i'm on a buying hiatus until i get thru at least part of my stash. i'm on a slipper spree! wheeeeeeeeee.... lol
