    hi,

recently I took hold of 20 mg of 2c-i in 1 mg alcohol solution. Today I was packing for the seaside and put the solution into a tiny bottle. A friend of mine did the stupid thing to pour a small amount of tap water to the solution.

now I know it's gonna degrade due to the chlorine in the water.

is it safe to keep it for several days, or I'd better drink it right away or lose it?

some details: it happened an hour ago, and the amount of water was about as much as the solution, i.e. 1 mg. the bottle is relatively well light-protected.

I'm not really sure. In fact I don't really think there's any way of knowing. But as you found out, d-H2O (distilled water) is always best for dissolving things. I don't think the small amount of chlorine would break down the molecule immediately... it should be good for a while. This is just a guess, though.
