I'm sorry you did not understand my post. Perhaps if you go back and read it more slowly you will understand that I'm not saying I believe this person has to live this way, I'm saying that the school says that. At least that is what my school said to me when I was kicked out, and they fired a secretary and a teacher because they claimed they were having a lesbian relationship, which they were not. They even illegally taped phone conversations between the women (one was having trouble with her marriage because her husband was cheating on her and she needed a friend to confide in). Anyway, the women sued the school and it made all of the papers around my small state for a little while anyway. Not much news here in DE I guess.

However, my point is Christian schools don't have to follow any guidelines. In my school we didn't even learn history or any foreign language and we didn't have computers or anything like that in the entire school to learn about, and this was the late 90's. My credits were all fucked up when I went to public school and I had to re-do some things. They make up their own rules was my point. The only people they are responsible to are the people paying money to go there and the parishioner or whatever they have there. So you are asking the wrong person where it says that in the Bible, because I do not believe it does anywhere. I don't know where they came up with the notion to hate gays other than the simple fact that they are homophobic because half of them are more than likely gay (I already expect backlash from that statement so bring it on, I have enough beer for the night). All I do know is that it is a Christian school and you have to abide by their rules while you are there. It isn't really that hard to understand.

But if you are asking on a personal level, no I don't think Jesus gave two shits if someone was gay or not. I believe that he loved everyone or at least was supposed to. But again like I said I'm not a Christian, so to me he was just some dude, maybe a cool cat or whatever, and that Bible has some really cool bedtime stories, but I don't think he was saving anyone and all that other happy horse shit (and before all of the Christians go off on me, I have read/studied the Bible for 10 years, had Bible class every single day for that time period then I had to be subjected to chapel once a week and church every freakin Wednesday night. So don't dare tell me that I don't know, because believe me I know more than I want to about those people who were so called Christians).

I hope that clarifies my position. Sorry it didn't come across clear before.

He likes gay bars? Really. I like gay bars too, but I wouldn't picture Bush in one. If I did I'd hurt him anyway. ;) But gay bars are so much more fun than straight bars. At least where I live anyway.

So are you denying that at the heart of catholicism there is cannibalism?

Not sure who you are speaking to, but as far as I am concerned I'm not certain that Catholicism promotes cannibalism. I think though, that perhaps you have issues with the ideas of symbolizm and alegory.

Anybody who seriously believes that Catholicism promotes canabalism is a fucking moron.
I'm not Catholic, by the way. Or even that religious.

It's fucking symbolism, people... symbolism. ;)

But, to the topic at hand, it is a private university, as it has been stated, and they should be allowed to expell whoever they want. It would be pretty shitty if the government were allowed to intrude on private institutions such as this one and force their "morals" onto it.

too make it kinda clear, jesus says he loved everyone, so i guess he didnt hate gays.. but both the old testament and the new testament make it clear that homosexuality is wrong (biblically speaking)... paul talks about it in acts or romans, and the story of sodom and gomoraha also emphesises it..

i think that "christian" leaders could set alot better of an example for their faith by actually being loving.. like instead of just kicking him out like he's filth, they maybe should have offered counsling and support, or somehting like that.. whatever the case, there is no reason for them to be jackasses

Sorry, I've been out of the Bible scene for a while. Could you give me the exact reference please of where it says that homosexuality is wrong in the Bible? I'm not saying I disagree on any level I just prefer to do my own research before agreeing or disagreeing with anyone. And I keep hearing people saying that the Bible says so, but it is funny I always find that the Bible actually says no such thing about something, but rather it has been interpreted that way. So if you wouldn't mind could you either post or PM the exact reference of the verses that you are refering to. Thank you.
