i'm having issues with my beard: i can't grow one!! i'm 18 years old, and i have barely more than a peachfuzz goatee. are there any tricks to getting a beard to grow? i really want a full, thick beard. thanks
basically its in the genes. shaving often does help stimulate growth. I'm nearly 29 and I still find my beard becoming more thick / full with age.
My grandpa never could grow one all his life. When he would try it would come in all uneven and wouldn't grow on his chin. It came in bright red too, so it was really obvious. on the plus side though, he looks a hell of a lot like Kirk Douglass.
I would say its a good thing. Personally I like a small almost-beard but think thick full ones are hideous.

man consider yourself lucky, cuz once u have to start shaving everydamn day, you'll wish you never had one....lol.....i hate shaving...and gotsta do it every mornin and it drives me nuts....
you can have some of my beard. i love my beard but keeping it under control is a fucking bitch. it's easier to shave it all off, or just let it grow then to constantly have to trim it this would be an example of me needing a trim, it was taken a couple of days ago the same beard less than 2 weeks ago. beards suck/rule at the same time. just be happy with whatever mother nature gave you. (oh yea, and beards arent suppose to grow in evenly so don't be worried if yours doesnt)
Ok, I'm not a guy, and can't really give beard advice (I am so thankful I do not have a beard as a girl!), but I admit that I have always been curious as to how men with one head hair color can have beards that are either multi-colored or flat out a different color altogether! It is neat though sometimes to see guys with odd colored beards. I have also been greatly curious as to the many different ways guys do or don't grow facial hair. A friend of mine has to shave EVERY day or else he'll have a serious 5 o'clock shadow. If he decided to grow a beard, it would be massive and full. I know other guys who grow hair in spots and patches on their face. It's a mystery to me. But then, some guys that can and do grow beards look creepy. Some look really good, but either way, I guess you just have to do as someone else pointed out and try and be happy (and work) with what you've got.
I actually have to shave every day. I don't have any trouble growing stuff. I used to have peach fuzz, but now I have a pretty thick goatee. I like it, people say it suits me...so that's good.
Oh, and btw Dangermoose, your beard kicks ass in the top photo. It looks pretty bad-ass. Now you just need a big zombie fighting outfit to go with it!
