so, iv decided that im not gonna backcomb or twist and rip like i originally planned to do. my mom said she would help me with those if i did. but i found a better way and it feels more natural. i have a wool beenie that i rub my hair with for like 20 mins. a day.my hair is making some nice little locks in it and they are starting to look like dreads (almost). but my mom is not so happy with it. because it looks like i have a 5 inch 'fro. i wear another hat during the day so my mom will actually take me out in public. other than that, she loves the fact that im thinking for myself, which has never reall been a problem. and im out of school now so they cant say anything about it again. sorry for going on, but im just so proud of my little baby locks
(if im thinking of the same thing) You should watch out of wool beenies. If you wear them for to long and if you hair is moist. There is a chance of fungus can grow. Thats what i was told... Anywho I wish my mom was the same, but i mine comes a different culture. Good luck and palm roll and keep on truckin'
hmm... mines from the patagonia catalog. but you could prolly get one from like a local hippy shop (theres a few around here) or if you know someone that knits, you could just get them to knit you like a wool pad that you could rub it with. that would be pretty cool if someone asked you what it is you could say "that theres my head rubbin pad" in your best redneck accent
LoL... Ill check out the closet hippie shop and a jamician store which i found today... Also i know someone who knits and i bet she would do it because i bet shes has no cash. But thats going to take mouths i bet because she just gave birth to a child...
