Jesus H, how desperate can liberals be to try to discredit the right?

All the people on this list have commited sex crimes. I'm sure people would agree with me that the human sex drive is present in ALL human beings, no? In both republicans AND democrats? So, is it a surprise that some people on BOTH sides end up giving in to perverted urges?

Here's what makes the right wing more moral than the left: the right is always the first to denounce such crimes. Which side aspires more to be better than that? Which side is more likely to admit to a HUMAN failure?

The very ones promoting "denunciation" of these crimes and pushing for "getting tough" are apparently only doing so out of their OWN GUILT! :D

Maybe they could just put themselves to sleep and nobody would have to worry about it.

Left wing is humanitarian and right wing is anti-humanitarian. Simply, liberals believe that people should help each other because they can't help themselves, conseratives delude themselves into believing people can help themselves and don't want to help people because they wish to take advantage of them.

The definition of left wing is revolutionary and right wing is conservative. Its ironic that the right wingers are driving the revolution with their economic actions.

I'd like to see the list of democrats who have been convicted of sex crimes please.

Which revolution would that be, precisely?

Perhaps you are referring to the reality where ever increasing numbers of our fellow citizens are losing their once middle class jobs (and thus in many cases their homes and future prospects), watching their savings devalue steadily whilst costs of living climb, all hidden beind the standard false number crunching that passes for "economic indicators" so that those concentrating more and more of the nation's wealth into fewer and fewer hands can keep the misinformed sheeple complacent long enough to disenfranchise even more of them?

Sorry to break the news to you, but this started back in the Nixon era and really took off running during the Reagan years. No revolution involved, just good ole corporatist/globalist business according to plan.

I do not see how the left is more humanitarian. They have the same human desires, including greed, in their own way.

No doubt, all of those people listed were/are sick and needed/need help. But, if those rightists are still denouncing it out of their own guilt, what's the problem? Are they recovering, perhaps? Should they not feel guilty about it? Should they not warn others it is wrong, as they have come to realize? And should other rightists who have not done it stop denouncing it, just because others like them made the mistake?

    It's not sex crimes, but:

    Jul 30, 2002

    The Associated Press

Since the 1970s, more than a dozen congressmen have been convicted in criminal court. Their cases and sentences include:

    - Rep. Andrew J. Hinshaw, R-Calif., spent a year in jail after being convicted in 1976 of accepting bribes when he was county tax assessor. He lost the primary election and resigned at the end of his term.

    - Rep. Charles Diggs Jr., D-Mich., was convicted in 1978 of operating a payroll kickback scheme in his congressional office. He served seven months of a three-year prison term. He was re-elected, then resigned in 1980.

    - Rep. Michael Myers, D-Pa., served 20 1/2 months of a three-year prison sentence for accepting bribes from FBI agents impersonating Arab businessmen. He was convicted in 1980 and expelled from Congress.

    - Four other House members were convicted in the Arab businessmen bribery scandal: Democratic Reps. John Murphy of New York, Frank Thompson of New Jersey, John Jenrette of South Carolina and Raymond Lederer of Pennsylvania. Thompson and Murphy were sentenced to three years; Jenrette, two years; and Lederer, one year.

    - Rep. Mario Biaggi, D-N.Y., was convicted in 1988 of extorting nearly $2 million from defense contractor Wedtech Corp. He resigned from Congress and served two years and two months of an eight-year sentence. He was defeated for re-election in 1992.

    - Rep. Mel Reynolds, D-Ill., was sentenced in 1995 to five years in prison for having sex with an underage campaign worker. He resigned from Congress, then was sentenced in 1997 to 6 1/2 years for bank fraud and other violations. The second sentence, which was to run at the same time as first, was commuted in 2001 by President Clinton.

    - Rep. Walter Tucker III, D-Calif., was sentenced in 1996 to two years and three months in prison for accepting and demanding bribes while mayor of a Los Angeles suburb. He resigned from Congress a week after his 1995 conviction.

    - Rep. Dan Rostenkowski, D-Ill., pleaded guilty in 1996 to two felony mail fraud charges, lost re-election and served 15 months in prison. Clinton pardoned him in 2000.

This is sick, these people would happily take MY children from me. After all not a xtian=bad parent. Not only that, but most of these guys did less time than I would if I sold a small amount of herb to a fully consenting adult!
Just one more thing to show how screwed up this country is.
