abbadabba thinks he is smart and proud of himself for writing theses supposed loaded questions. What he doesn't realize is that we have a brain. What he doesn't realize is that we have God's wisdom. The answers with an explanation:

    1)D, God Loves everyone
2)D, what are you trying to prove other than your ability to ridicule?
3)A,B,C,D, If Jesus were here today, we Christians would be heading to Heaven with Him.
4)B,D, I don't recall anywhere in The Bible Jesus saying forgivnes is the Key. I also don't see why you would mention women getting abortions. You could use prostitution, drug dealers, many different types of people in this sentence. Point is, Jesus loves everyone. Though, Jesus is perfect in his ways and would be able to show the woman wanting an abortion why it was a bad idea to do it.
5)You left out all of the above on this one. My first response was Phelps, seeing as he is not a Christian at all. However, All 4 choices turned their back on Christ.

Well either your memory is poor or you haven't read that much of it...

    'forgive us... as WE FORGIVE...'
'let he who is without sin cast the first stone..'
'judge not lest ye be judged...'
'(he) makes the rain fall on the just and unjust alike..'
'remove the plank from your eye before removing the speck from your neighbors..'
    'love your enemies'

Sounds like forgiving and more importantly NOT passing judgement in the first place is a KEY pilar of what Jesus was trying to tell you.

What I don't recall is Jesus EVER saying that he was born of a virgin, died for your sins, or wanted people to form a religion praising his name.

Those scriptures don't say that forgivnes is the key to happines. As far as the rest of it, I don't think Jesus had to say anything when he died for our sins, He pretty much just did it.

No.. not the key to happiness.. the key to salvation.

Yup he sure did die... but who invented the fact that it was for your sins? I do beleive what Jesus said... but MOST of what Christianity teaches has no basis in his words.

Lately there has been a rash of these ridiculous topics which are 'designed' to bait Christians into some sort of Catch22 turnabout.

The problem is that they are so poorly 'designed' from a lack of knowledge that they will never achieve what 'they think' they are going to do.

I notice the 'PuzzleMasters' behind these usually become frustrated after their imagined 'trap' doesnt catch anything and will just launch the pre-planned retort in mid-thread anyway.

In this case, the poster seems to confuse 'Forgiveness' (which is already available to everyone) with 'Condoning' the original sin itself.
How can you discuss anything with someone who cant get past that?
    You cant.
Even basic understanding (among Christians anyway) will seem like strange 'nonsense' or 'bad replies' to this poster.

As for Jesus thinking He was God and wanting followers - anyone with the lowest levels of comprehension can easily see this is true by reading (or being read to) the New Testament.
Starts with Jesus actually hand-picking a group of followers...
... Runs non-stop through his ministry...
... ends with such statements as "I am The Way" or "I am the True Vine"
.. Also.. the whole 'Raising the dead' and invitations to follow him.
Plus the little issue about being asked if He was God and replying "As you said"

I think that is only about 5% of the references .. too many to list.

I don't think the 'puzzlemaster' was trying to bait anyone. Just point out flaws in understanding. The fact is if you try to imagine a religion which follows the teaching of Christ you don't seem to come up with Christianity. I think that is all he is trying to expose.

I don't think Jesus would be at all happy with the things done in his name and abaa-whatever is just pointing that out. If you see that as a trap, then I guess you feel trapped by trying to understand what Jesus was trying to say.

Actualy, abbadabba was just listing the things he thinks all Christians represent and the way he thinks. Notice the last choice in each question. Question one obviously shows us he supports homosexual couples (of course, he fights for homosexuals in another thread). Question two, well, perhaps he just likes to masturbate a lot, I don't know on that one. Question three, again dealing with homosexual relationships. Question four, shows us he is pro choice. Question five, shows us how he views all Christians, even when Phelps isn't a Christian. He did nothing inteligent here. As all of his other posts, i take it with a grain of salt, knowing it will become bitter when to much is present.

Bandit... Your judgement is clear and proves his point. I don't care what his sexual orientation is or his personal views on choice or if he masterbates. Do you? Let he who is without sin cast the first stone...

I don't see him stating all Christians are like this. But I do think it implies that those who are like this had better read what Jesus came to tell them. 'For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.'

Jesus taught us not to judge, to love our enemies, that God makes the rain fall on the just and unjust alike. If you are wiser than God, by all means pass judgement. If you are not perfect I would be very carefull pointing out flaws in others.

You seem confused about the concept of Judgement.

So it WAS true that however you judged - you would be judged accordingly.

Please note my use of the word 'Was'.

You dont even know why I said "was' do you?

This is exactly what I mean when i refer to you critics who 'think' you are being clever and 'Hehe.. turning a mirror" or "hehe. . hanging them with their own rope"

You keep hanging yourself Pop. .. and you dont even realise it.

    Now then

Lets just go with your understanding for a minute anyway:
    So?
Then if men inflamed with lust for one another is described as 'reprobate' by God then a Christian can accept that judgement.
If he makes that judgement then so what?

"Welllll... for does not your own bible say.. judge not lest you be judged"

    YES!
    FINE!

    So whats the problem?

So the Christian is going to judge the homosexual lust as reprobate and will be also judged as Reprobate IF he does the same lust.

NOTHING says he shouldnt use proper judgement.
EVERYTHING you are quoting from scripture is asking for proper judgement.

But in anycase... you dont even know what your talking about and its context anyway.

You guys are high-fiving each other about how you hung the Christians underwear on a pole - yet - ITS YOURS! LOL!

I am not trying to hang any Christians and I failt o see how I am hanging myself.

I think the message is simple.. if you are perfect... if you know God's will, then by all means pass judgement. Jesus said VERY plainly let he who is without sin cast the first stone.. he was protecting a whore. He befriended her and helped her. I don't think he was condoning her activities. He was showing us that we are not in a position to judge other people.

Yes, of course we have to live our lives on sound judgements. That does not mean we need to judge other people as bad or good. I think that is for one and only one to decide. If that is your definition of hanging myself then so be it.

'Ye judge after the flesh; I judge no man.'
'Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven'
'And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.'
    ... Jesus ...

I am not sure who's teaching you are following.

Since you think you should be 'teaching' us how our own Gospel works then maybe you should try and get the basic fundamental premise down hmmmmm?

As every Christian knows (or oughta!) Gods Covenant was that of LAW.

(Next time your teaching from a Bible - please take note there are TWO sections - one is called the "Old Testament" - The other called the "New Testament". thanks)

Jesus was born into what Covenant (Contract)?
    Yep, LAW.

Under that Law you BETTER BELIEVE God had instructed those people to JUDGE and carry out Judgements on others.

    Anyyyyway...
Jesus was the Fulfillment of the Law (you can teach on that later but lets move on)
While Jesus was alive he lived UNDER THE LAW and so did everyone else in Judaism.

Now, once he died and was raised again - THEN he fulfilled the Contract (Covenant) and a New Contract was written.

    Dig?

If you dont understand what Im talking about then I strongly encourage you to think twice about taking situations that occured under the Law and trying to apply them to the current Covenant.

Believe me - half of all Christians and far too many actual Pastors have trouble with this one - so its not surprising you would either.

    Interesting related point:
Some people might ask you (while your teaching them doctrine) - "If Jesus lived under the Law, then why did he sometimes seem to be 'breaking' the Law and living under Grace?"

Ahhh... Thats actually a simple answer. The Pharissees and Saducees knew EXACTLY WHY and WHAT Jesus was doing... . Acting like He was God. Since ONLY God himself can determine laws... or PARDON anyone from the Law (Like say Mary M)

    .........

Oh.. and since you are quoting our own scriptures back to us - could you please quote the ENTIRE SCRIPTURE AND THOUGHT.. and not half of it.

Jesus enforced the Law and required Mary's Executioners to be without Sin before stoning her to death.
So, first thing - Jesus WAS JUDGING THOSE MEN!
Second.. Jesus JUDGED MARY by saying to her "NOW.. GO and SIN NO MORE"
(he said that because she was guilty of sinning and he judged her for it)

The Old Testament clearly demonstrates that abortion is murder, and according to the New Testament no murderer will enter into Gods kingdom. The warning that Christians are giving is not to put people down, but to bring them to the saving knowledge of Christ. There is not a Christian on this post who will enter Gods kingdom because of their own good works. Real Christians only try to do the right thing, our salvation comes from the shed blood of Christ alone . Giving a warning to save two lives, is different than judgement to punish one. The fact is, America has murdered 40 million of it's citizens. Thats the results of a silent church. It's really to late to save the nation, but God is still in the business of saving people. God will not let America continue killing children, God will judge America in the years to come. It is because of my knowledge of Bible prophecy, that I fear for the future of this nation.

Two testaments, two different 'gods'--one of the earth, lesser, and one of the sky, Greater than all others.

Nope, two different laws. There's a lot of deception involved in all that.

Maybe he was born of the lineage of David, but Jesus was an Essene. Nazorean Essene, to be exact. Hence the misinformation designating him 'of Nazareth'. Nazareth didn't exist at the time of his birth. He did not practice the law, nor bow to the authority of the Pharisees, Saducees, or the Sanhedrin. Why do you think they crucified him? To fulfill the law? That's a barbaric assumption based on politics 2000 years old.

More political propaganda, covenants weren't his style, the reasons he came had nothing to do with the Jewish people's previous contracts. They don't hold with it, so why should you?

Or applying YHVH's law to Jesus, who was superior to him in every way.

Even more don't even realize where the real trouble lies!

And so they put him to death. That's not simple. That's complicated and contradictory.

Wake up call! That was a parable, for the purpose of teaching a difficult and slippery concept, one obviously most 'bible believing christians' haven't even guessed at. The whole bible is a lesson book, not a history book, nor a law book. It is intended to be learned from, not taken as factual and literal. Those living as they think the bible tells them to are missing out on the greatest learning experience that man can know. The worst part is that everyone is so attached to what they think the bible is saying that they might not ever open their minds, eyes, and hearts enough to see what it's really saying.

Oh yeah, I came for a quiz. I got sidetracked, what's new?

    Here's my answers:
    e) all except for a and the second half of c

Matthew 22:37 *Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 *This is the first and great commandment.
39 *And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40 *On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

Matthew 10:37 *He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
38 *And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.

Matthew 19:29 *And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.

Matthew 11:28 *Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 *Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30 *For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

    d

    e) None of the above

Mark 13:26 *And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.
27 *And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.

    e) all except for a

    e) none/all of the above

Mark 12:38 *And he said unto them in his doctrine, Beware of the scribes, which love to go in long clothing, and love salutations in the marketplaces,
39 *And the chief seats in the synagogues, and the uppermost rooms at feasts:
40 *Which devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayers: these shall receive greater damnation.

Mark 12:17 *And Jesus answering said unto them, Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's. And they marvelled at him.

Mark 11:27 *¶And they come again to Jerusalem: and as he was walking in the temple, there come to him the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders,
28 *And say unto him, By what authority doest thou these things? and who gave thee this authority to do these things?
29 *And Jesus answered and said unto them, I will also ask of you one question, and answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things.
30 *The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or of men? answer me.
31 *And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say, Why then did ye not believe him?
32 *But if we shall say, Of men; they feared the people: for all men counted John, that he was a prophet indeed.
33 *And they answered and said unto Jesus, We cannot tell. And Jesus answering saith unto them, Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things.

John 2:17 *And his disciples remembered that it was written, The zeal of thine house hath eaten me up.

John 5:23 *That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.

John 7:17 *If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.
18 *He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.
