    To care too much
    Is to lose control
    When you lose control
    You stop playing the game
and you start being played by it.

Cessation of desire is the only problem we ever face in life.

To want is to hender, to want is weakness.

They say ignorence is bliss... because when we're ignorant we don't see what we can want...

Happyness is a state of clarity and understanding.

all both play and are played. there is no either. there is only both. there is ignorance. there may even be times it is just as well.

why beat your head against what you cannot move, when instead you can be learning what moves it? and what moves what moves it.

and then asking yourself why you wanted it to be moved.
    and where to.

then you realize you are one little part of it.
    niether totaly helpless
    nor totaly in control
    of anything
    either way

ego is real but forget it
it only gets in the way

but you don't have to beat your head against trying to do that either.
you don't have to do anything
certain things are likely to happen if you don't do certain other things
    that much is absolutely true
    but not linearly
    just statisticly

    to want is not weakness
but it is a handle by which other can manipulate us
to not choose wisely what to want is counterproductive toward having a world
that is gratifying to live in

and of course wanting is again beating your head against a wall too
diversity will bring what it will
    many surprises
    some good some bad
some not as surprising as you'd like them to be
    some more so

reality does go on being diversity whatever else we may want
    or how much

diversity that does nothing to prevent the rise of tyrannts
and equaly nothing to prevent their fall

only we create the incentives that bring them to power
or cause their power base to crumble and fail them

and we do this by what we choose to be most important to us.
not in the sense of expecting that to happen
but of the incentives that are created by our doing so

the statistical combination of all of our priorities added up togather
not those of any one of us alone
    who control nothing
    but influence everything

by everything we don't even think about doing
    and everything we do

To laugh is to risk appearing a fool
To weep is to risk appearing sentimental
To reach out for another is to risk involvement
To expose feelings is to risk rejection
To place your dreams before a crowd is to risk ridicule
To love is to risk not being loved in return
To go forward in the face of overwhelming odds is to risk failure
But risks must be taken because the greatest hazard in life is to risk
    Nothing
The person who risks nothing does nothing, has nothing, is nothing
He may avoid suffering and sorrows, but he cannot learn, feel, change, grow or love
Chained by his certitudes, he is a slave he has forfeited his freedom
Only a person who takes risks is FREE
