Drinking and Allergy Pills

yes i know this should be in Pharmaceuticals but i tottaly missed it and i dont know how to delete and i dont want to make another post in there seeing i already have another one posted somewhere else.



Ok so a friend told me today that there are certain allergy pills/other medical pills out there that when mixed with alcohol they can make you hallucinate/feel like a cement man(feels like your 1000 pounds)

but he also said do some research before you start poppin pills cause some can kill you/make you super sick, so thats where you guys come in.

So i need to know if he was telling the truth/what pills do it and doses and all that good stuff also what should i expect?

you will not get the right answers if you do not know what youre asking about. what is this drug? there is no drug called 'allergy pills'.

along with this, most pharmaceutical pills mix very badly with alchohol.

find out what drug youre talking about and you can keep safe. dont think of them as simply 'pills', each drug is different and should be identified such

the drug youre probably referring to is like the stuff in benadryl (diphenhydramine ) or dramamine (dimenhydrinate)

 

thats why im doing research to find out what drugs are in the allergy pills that give the trips, and so im asking here seeing most people here know what their talking about seeing i barley experiment. so sorry if i wasnt so clear.

 

go to erowid.org and search for the two drugs stonerbill mentioned above and you'll get good information. you can get affects without mixing with alcohol...i realllly don't advise mixing drugs with alcohol, especially ones like these. maybe you're thinking about DXM as well, which is in cough medicine and i guess it's effects could be describes as making you feel 'heavy'.

 

years ago i took a few claryntine tablets (hayfever), because im allergic to dogs, and two panadols (i dont know why). everyone else had taken some panadols, not to get fucked up though.
after only 6 beers each, people were climbing through his roof, spying on people shitting, fighting, passing out, i ended up sleeping downstairs on his dirty clothes in a barricade i made with his washing machine and a clothes basket, because someone was planning to put shit on another person and i didnt exactly want to be that person. it was the only time i was ever completely out of control on alcohol. the hayfever only contained loratadine (sp?), so i dont know if that does anything. this wasnt a trip but i got wayyy drunk on so little.

thats such bullshit. i get allergy shots, take zyrtec and nasal spray every day and drink a lot and ive never expirienced anything like that

 

as i said, "the hayfever tablets only contained loratadine (sp?), so i dont know if that does anything." so it couldve been the panadols (i think they couldve been panadienes but im not sure so i wont say they were). never did i go around saying it had to be the claryntine. so its not such bullshit.

 

panadol does not have any psychoactive effect whatsoever dude

 

panadiene contains codiene

 

panadeine is not panadol, but at any rate, the amount of codeine in a few panadeine is negliable, and if it -did- effect you, it would have simply made you sedated, not increased any sort of crazyness of being fucked up or something. ultimately you would just pass out quickly. but still, theres so little codeine that its redundant unless youre taking a fair few.

 

I took some benadryl (actually for allergies) and drank that night, and I gotta say, it pretty much sucked. It wasn't really that intense, but I felt sick, dizzy, and just wanted to go to sleep. It sucked cause I just wanted to get drunk, but every drink made me sicker, and ive drank more than enough to know it wasnt the alcohol.

Sometimes I think people look in unual places for ways to get intoxicated

 

well bill then i guess the only thing to have happened is my 13 year old brain thought it was more drunk than it actually was..
but it used to take me much more than 6 beers to get drunk so i was curious as to why, and thought id post in case it helped.

 

hey i usually dont take allargy medacine but i had to for like 2 weeks and i went to this party and got trashed...forgetting i even took the alergy medacine and it doesnt make u hallucinate i just got very emotional and paranoid and starting flipping out, it was a terrible experiance.

 

The only allergy pills that do anything of interest are Benardyl(diphenhydramine) and Dramamine(dimenhydrinate), along with the generic versions of each. I wouldn't drink any alcohol with them though. If you eat enough of these pills you will start to have crazy hallucinations. It's not fun, in any way, and is VERY dangerous. They dehydrate the body and cause your heart to beat funny, when you take enough. I took 31 bendryls, which is 775mg of diphenhydramine, and equal to 1550mg of dimenhydrinate. I was seeeing dead people and talking to them as if they were really there, because I thought they actually were. It doesn't really make you "trip". It just causes complete psychosis. It's dangerous and can kill you, either directly or indirectly. I would do tons of research on erowid before proceding. Good luck and don't over do it.

haha the best was when jungle said through the bathroom air vent "i can see you" as my friend was shitting, so then the shitting friend started screaming off his nut, so then jungle's mum came up and just opened the bathroom door cos she thought the guy'd gone crazy and was screaming to himself, so she opens it to see him with half a shit coming out of his arse and he's all :"WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON@!!!!!!??" it was so fucked hahaha
