I figured this would be the best place to post this. My son is 17 months old. We have had problems with a recurring severe diaper rash, probably related to a food allergy. We just started an elimination diet to figure out what he's allergic to. The rash has never before affected his foreskin, but today it is red, raw-looking, and swollen. He doesn't seem to be in any pain, even when he touches it, and he's peeing ok. Is this just an extension of the diaper rash? Or could it be some kind of yeast infection?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

maybe this should be moved to the parenting section, as people there are very experienced with things concerning toddlers :)

PLease say u did not try and retract it ? If so then it could be an infection linked to this. In any case it can be treated with topical antibiotics relatively easily.

Don't worry, I haven't retracted it! I think it's some kind of yeast infection.
