I hear many people talking of putting tea tree oil in there knots. However I remember a few years ago I had a wiff on a bottle of that stuff, and it smelling completly vile. and not somthing I really want my hair to smell of. And as i was typing the above paragraph i've completly forgotten where I was going with it.

oh yeahm, have i got the worng stuff or does it make your hair propper hummmmmmm?

some people like the smell, some people hate it. Maybe try getting another strong-smellling essential oil you DO like (maybe peppermint or eucalyptus) and mixing a little of each? The benefits fo tea tree are really great, and in my opinion worth it even if you can't stand the smell.
