Okay, I am working on a summercamp not far from Santa Barbara, and only a few minutes from the Pacific and next to the Los Padres National Forest. Now it sounds awesome to me, i just wanted to know if anybody lives or has visited said areas. I have only been to the East Coast of the States before, so Cali is new to me. I will be working for 9 weeks, then freedom to travel afterwards so any suggestionw ould be greatly appreciated Thanks in advance peacex
I've only been to Santa Barbara a few times but it's a great college/beach town. The weather's great. I don't know about the surrounding areas you mentioned though. Hope that helps a little.
thanks Jennasia, well I was just wondering what type of things there are to do in the town. any activities, sites etc, i'm working in Ojai for around 11 weeks, then spending a week in Santa Barbara, the twon itself, before I somehow have to make my way back to New York for my flight peacex
What's great about Santa Barbara is it has so much to offer. It's a beautiful, old Spanish-flavored city and there is something magical about the light there. The Endless Summer Bar and Brophy Bros. are good places to eat and drink in the harbor. Roughy 25 miles offshore, the Channel Islands National Marine Sanctuary await. www.nps.gov/chis
